Omni Stats  Popular! (More than 5000 hits)
Version: 4.0.0
by: RunningDuck, M0R
OmniStats
A transparent, always visible window that shows the stats found on the character screen.

Features
  • New! There is a new and fancy selector for the displayables in the settings panel.
  • New! The window can now be locked in place.
  • Crit Damage is now displayable. The number shown does not include the +15% provided by the backstabber CP.
  • uespLog compatibility, adding two new displayable stats - Effective Spell Damage and Effective Weapon Damage
  • Display up to 43 stats, not only the normal 12
  • Select which stats to show
  • Select how much text to describe the stat, from space-saving and cryptic, to huge tracts of display and verbose
  • Buffed stats show in green
  • Debuffed stats show in red
  • Selectable layouts: 3-rows in 2-by-2, 2-columns, horizontal, vertical
  • Option to always show max or current values for health, stamina and magicka
  • Adjustable background alpha
  • Adjustable foreground alpha
  • Scalable between 50-300%
  • Options to hide in combat or out of combat
  • Option to auto-hide when in dialogs, menus, etc
  • Keybind available to toggle window on/off
  • Experimental: Display stats of target in parallel. Note, only available in the 2-rows layout mode. It is a bit of disappointment as most stats are blocked by the game.
  • Selectable thousand delimiter (between digit 3 and 4): Space, Dot, Comma or None
  • Settings can be saved per character or account-wide
  • Refresh interval can be decreased for faster changes

Controls
  • Left-click to move the window around (position is saved globally for all your characters)
  • Right-click to reset the stats their current values (e.g. when you have levelled or equipped new gear)
  • Add keybind to toggle the window. Menu/Control/Keybindings: User Interface/OmniStats toggle on/off"

Known Issues
  • Some stats, like Armor, are not always showing all special AvA bonuses, but possibly Physical Resistance is now correct
  • Stats are reputedly not soft capped after patch 6

Possible Future Features
  • Further layout customization
  • Selectable which order to display stats (might need added code in the setting subsystem)
  • Store base stats for the two weapon slots
  • Localization

Spoqster, thanks for very constructive suggestions! I fully agree on your general remarks about readability.

I've made one step in your direction and added some extra space between groups. Intention is to make it easier to read.

For the moment I would like to keep the fully flexible option for which stats to show, as I think it is useful to tailor to the necessary few. Not all original 12 are that useful to see all the time, and several of the 28 new stats have very limited value.

Can't scale large enough to read

I like it, but scaling up the window doesn't give me a readable display. The text eventually gets big enough but overwrites the adjacent lines/fields. This is probably related to the 1.6 UI inability to scale up to a usable size for me, but thought I'd mention it. Unfortunately I can't use it this way so must uninstall.

It gets to be quite bad once you start scaling it up so you can actually see the stats at any time.

But I need this kind of addon now so I probly keep using it.. fortunately for me I only need a few stats at a time depending on what I do so.. But I seriously hope this gets some more attention as it is a great concept.

(A Profile or just have settings be saved per char... would be extremely helpful)

How about now in 2.1.4?
When you just scale it gets blurry and unsharp, but is it good enough?
(An alternative might be to select among the few available fonts.)
And thanks for reporting in the bug!

I thought it was a benefit to have same setting for all chars, at least that's the way I use it.
Maybe I can make it selectable if you want it per char or global, but not a mix.

2.1.5

2.1.5 available for download
Properly handles crit rating, there was a change in in Update 6 I missed in the first place
Scaling now works better, although still only magnifies text (as opposed to change font)
Adapted for Updated 6, where there are no more soft cap (diminishing returns)

Number format

Hi,

Since the 1.6 patch, I can confirm the number format need to raise to 5 maybe 6 characters long.

I took a look at the lua but could not figure it out.

Re: Number format

Thanks QuadroTony and antonyburden for reporting the bug. In the uploaded 2.1.6 there is now room for at least 5 digitits.
Can a Vet 14 have more than 99 999 in any ability or skill?
Would it be more easy to read if there was a space between digit 4 and 5, i.e. "12 345" instead of "12345"?

It's a variabled defined once in the beginning, to make it easy to change all layout widths in one place.
It was part of a restructuring I did when I took over that paid off, as it was easy to fix this bug.

Re: Re: Number format

Imo it would be more easy to read if you could add thousand delimiters, like 3.456 (german client) or 3,456 (english client) for values > 1000.

2.1.7 uploaded where the thousand delimiter is selectable in the Settings menu: Space, Dot, Comma, None

Thanks for the updates - and I like the delimiter

I've just swiched between my daggers and bow and the displayed weapon damage shows 1,177 for daggers then 1,14 for bow !!! should be 1014. seems you are replacing the 0 ... ?

Edit: Same with other fields actually.

Uploaded 2.1.8 fixes this emabarrasing format error when hundreds where zero, like in 1014.
(I didn't replace the zero, but failed to print it if it was zero.)
