Hey, Phil. MM keeps kicking me out of game when I have it on. I've updated. Any ideas? Thanks.

I've been getting this error with viewing crown crates for a while and finally started disabling addons until the issue went away.
I have Master Merchant 2.0.8b installed according to the addon ui. I get this error with MM installed and it goes away when I disable the addon. Outlier Detection
Hi Philgo!
I absolutely love MM, and have been making stacks of gold with it. I wanted to take a minute to point out that MM doesn't handle outliers as well as it could. This will take some explanation, so bear with me. If something is unclear, please let me know, and I will try to explain it better. Here's an example where there is very clearly an outlier that MM didn't detect: https://i.imgur.com/qw9JlRE.png. Notice that the MM weighted mean (1215) is way off kilter, due to a single outlier at 6000. The average of the remaining prices is only 120, which is more than 10x less! My experience using MM leads me to think that a high proportion of the "bargains" MM identifies would disappear if it was better at spotting outliers. If 6000 is such a clear outlier to the eye, why doesn't the math exclude it as an outlier? There are at least two issues here: using the wrong method to calculate standard deviation, and choosing the mean as the measure of central tendency. From what I can tell looking at the code, MM calculates the standard deviation using the most commonly taught method, which isn't the right method when the data isn't homogeneous (in the statistical sense). A better way in this case is to estimate the standard deviation (sd) from the average moving range (AMR) using the equation: sd = AMR / 1.128 The average moving range is just the average of the absolute differences between successive points. If you want to know more about this, I suggest these articles: https://www.spcforexcel.com/knowledg...control-charts https://www.qualitydigest.com/inside...ng-limits.html In the case of the graph above, the conventional sd is 2079, and the mean is 855, giving an outlier detection threshold of mean + 3 sd = 7093, which is why MM misses the outlier at 6000 by a mile. Using the range based estimate for sd gives 1521, and the mean + 3 sd is now only 5418. Using this threshold, 6000 is clearly detected as an outlier. Another problem that stops MM from detecting outliers is using the mean as a measure of central tendency. The mean is notoriously sensitive to outliers, whereas the median is very insensitive to outliers. (Statisticians call this insensitivity to outliers robustness). In the data for the above graph the non-weighted mean is 855, while the median is only 125. Notice that the median is very close to 120, the value of the mean obtained after throwing out the point at 6000. The time-weighted mean (1215) is even further off, because the outlier is not a very old data point. Now take a look at the outlier detection using the median and the range-based sd. The median is 125, and our range based sd is 1521, so median + 3 sd is 4688. Now the outlier at 6000 is clearly shown to be not just an outlier, but an extreme outlier! In case anyone wants to do their own analysis of the data, here are the numbers from the graph above: price days ago 100 4 150 29 6000 37 125 52 125 70 200 77 100 84 40 94 TTFN! |

Hey Philgo!
I know this is probably really low priority with everything else going on these days, but when you have time, could you look into why Elsweyr craft costs aren't displaying in-game anymore? If I recall correctly they were working about 1 or 2 months ago, but recently Elsweyr items don't show craft costs in inventory, guild stores, or crafting windows (non-Elsweyr items still display craft costs correctly). Thanks! |

Maybe this helps you.
I had the following problem: - The computer I played on had a lot of old master merchant data - One of the guilds I am in was not displayed on master merchant - The sales of that guild however were shown in the prompt messages. This is what fixed it. - Turned on verbose messages to 4 so i could see what Mastermerchant was doing - typed /mm missing - After a while mm scanned the sales which happened in the last 10 days, still the guild was not listed. - Used Rrefresh and suddenly all the guilds were displayed and the problem was solved. Using the verbose messages really helps and if you are a roleplayer you can let the /mm missing run while you are roleplaying. it might take some time but that is normal for databases.

I don't understand how is /mm missing supposed to work. Right now, it doesn't do anything.
When I ues the command, it says "Searching for missing sales.", but no new sales show up in the main window despite there only being sales from four days ago and me selling a lot of other stuff since then. It doesn't seem to be scanning anything but guild 1 too. The other guild (which is a real trader guild) never even gets mentioned in the chat. |

Changed the guild history update mechanism from client polling to server-initiated updates to help address performance issues. The history will update approximately once per minute. |
