Since the update my sales history doesn't work anymore.
The window opens but doesn't show any data. Is this a known problem? |

I don't know how it happened from what you described. Probably at MasterMerchant.lua:459 Lua Code:
If guildItemsSold was 0, then you'd have -1.#IND put in the table as the sales percentage. I reckon you could also put in a test for 0, but I'm not sure if guildItemsSold could ever reach that condition, because I also realized I have no idea why I am trying to debug this and decided to invest my time elsewhere. Though I think I am going to start a new trading guild called SK_STATS_TOTAL. You should probably search through your SavedVariables and look for "-1.#IND" and change all instances to something polite like 1, since it's the divisive identity. I have had strange behavior like this from addons before. It was due to an otherwise undetectable memory instability. For whatever reason, the LUA virtual machine is very susceptible to memory errors. I would suggest you run a stress test for a while just to rule out that possibility. I had the best luck with OCCT, it detected my errors when others (IntelBurnTest, Prime95) did not. |

Any chance for future to be able to set our own treshold for what MM considers an "Outlier Price" in like -> If sale price is X% higher than current MM then its outlier
A slider to set own percentage would be neat. |

Grid pricing
Is there any way that as another option instead of the graph that we get a grid view of the last X sales with days and pricing amounts?

I have found that guild store searches can, unbelievably, actually crash the client when the Master Merchant database has grown very large. They usually will just freeze the client for a second or two, but it will occasionally crash when it freezes up. (I blame ZOS here -- the client should not crash because an Addon wants to do a lot of math!)
The issue occurs when a search returns many rows of items with a high sales count like refined crafting mats. For example, when I check the salesData table for item 46130 (voidstone ingot), I have 1558 rows in the sales table! I see that the price calculations are done in toolTipStats. It iterates over the entire sales table several times, doing some expensive math functions. The execution time of toolTipStats isn't really a big deal, even if it takes hundreds of milliseconds. However the guild store search is an edge case where toolTipStats may execute 100 times. If the search results are narrowed to return many items with very high sales counts (e.g. refined metalworking materials), then the execution time can grow by as much as two orders of magnitude at the extreme. I was able to resolve the issue by caching the returnData from toolTipStats, and then returning the value from the cache when a cached [itemID][itemIndex] pair was requested, rather than re-calculating. Even with the cache empty, the client would not freeze on the problematic searches. So it doesn't take too long perform each unique calculation, only to repeat the same calculations many times. EDIT: Nevermind, my game still crashes sometimes when I search. Cheers.

Restoring old Guild Sales data?
I recently tried to troubleshoot some game crashes and game boots and finally came to a point of removing my MM install and starting a new fresh one.
Since then of course I only have about a week of Guild sales data and I am getting a lot of single sales of items that have been in high demand since the IC patch. I have my old data archived and was wondering if there is any way to put it back and merge it with my most current data. Or if that is not possible, if I simply restore my old saved data, when I first run MM will it query the guild sales and simply append that new data? My saved data is from 13 September. Thanks |

Re: Restoring old Guild Sales data?
my companion addon, Guild Sales Assistant for MM will removed the duplicates. I have a subroutine that checks all the gathered data but does NOT use the epoch date, which is why you are seeing what you are seeing, and finds what I call "obvious duplicates" They may show up in new sales but it will remove them from the database - if will take about 15 days to completely correct itself but in the end you will not have duplicates. Duplicates happen because when you ask the game for a sale info the time/date stamp is always close but different. Anyway just letting you know in case you use GSA. Also you should enable ShadowCopy on your live folder (windows 7 thru 10) -- I can go back and get all the data in live from 3 months ago to yesterday. It's invaluable. I hope that helps, -d |

Sorry, I'm probably confusing this more than I should.
I'm talking about just clearing the current MMxx saved variables (about a weeks worth if that) and pasting back MMxx that I saved as of 13 September. Those 13 September MMxx have been running for several months. I expect that might create a gap between 13 September and the day I put them back, but I don't know if the first time I then let MM refresh, is it going to grab all history as far back as the guild sales snapshot allows and just append? Or will that create a permanent gap between 13 September and when I let MM refresh? Or is this just not advised and will just corrupt the entire running database of data? Sorry I don't use Guild Sales Assistant or any other data extractor for MM.
