Alternatively, you might find that the command "/mm verbose 1" might work better than using the settings UI. Either way, I imagine nobody other than devs want 4 as the default: hopefully that'll change in the very near future. |

My thoughts almost exactly. Only difference for me is I like being able to see the sales for the week in the guild. That's the only reason why I keep MM now days. I am tired of the "tester" for MM everytime it updates lately |

Verbose Messages is also messed up now. My setting is 4 and now in chat I get a message for every new sale Event Monitor finds in the guild stores. Nothing turns it off but setting 1, then I get nothing.

For the full 10 days, you can manually scan. PS avoid 2.4.8, either wait for 2.4.9 or grab 2.4.7 from the 'other files' section. |

Fortunately I have a backup of SavedVariables... grabbing 2.4.7 from the 'other files' section.

Scanning 10 days
So just to clarify, in the past in order to get MM to past the point where it had last stored data, you had to do /mm missing. So if you already had data from yesterday going back, and you wanted to scan over the last 10 days, or it was a new install, you did /mm missing.
In this update, is it the case that MM will just scan everything and not try to track where it left off? which means it will always scan however much is seen in guild history tab. So you don't have to do /mm missing to scan 10 days anymore? How are you ensuring it doesn't scan the same data twice (leading to the dupes people are observing)? It can't be by count because that changes as more sales are added. Edit: It seems you are not ensuring this. When I scan back 10 days (just doing the first guild) it is finding every single sale again and recording it. So literally every sale already recorded, is now duplicated! Example: https://cdn.discordapp.com/attachments/437080285658611713/747090444373983252/unknown.png I know for a fact these are dupes and not just two sales at the same time. Now you have quite the mess to clean up if you want to get all these dupes out! Luckily I backed up my saved variables before updating because I knew this would be a risky test, but others probably didn't. I'm also using ATT alongside MM so I can easily compare...

Duplicate Entries
I scanned my 5 guilds, had to scan 3 then I had to go out for a little bit, then logged back in and scanned the last 2 guilds.
When I pulled up the MM window every thing from 4 hours back was duplicated, the items that sold while I was away are fine. I ran /mm dups, but it did not help. I hate to ask, but what did I do wrong, and how do I get rid of the duplicates. Also one more small note: When you type in /mm help the option for /mm missing is still there. just thought you would want to know. |

Follow the instructions. Log out of the game, update, scan 10 days, and you are done. Tomorrow manually update the guild history until it keeps telling you there are no new sales. You will not have to but since it's your first time with this version, go ahead and scan 10 days again. You will see that there will be no new sales because you didn't miss any from the last time you scanned 10 days with 2.4.8. Open the MM sales window and scroll down the history. Granted I only looked at about 2 or 3 pages when testing, but I was able to find any sales showing in the guild history and the MM sales window. All new sales that you would get that you can't request pressing E on the guild history tab are updated once they appear in the guild history as long as the time isn't 1657 months or anything else silly like that.

For the first time in my life I am scared to update MM.
After some days of weirdness, it worked perfectly yesterday, but ONLY if I used /mm missing. I don't know nor care about the inner details, but I care that the ONLY way to get more than 1 day worth of history, was to manually load some guild market history and then use /mm missing. MM would "pick up" from there and the reassuring scan percentages (I use verbose 5 / 6) started to appear and work again. And yes, before finding that working workaround I uninstalled MM multiple times. Deleted the MM history files and so on. Only way to make it work flawlessly was to do what I said above. How am I going to make it work now that you removed that option?

Updating to 2.4.8
First log out of the game. Do not update while the game is running and then reload your UI. You might get an error in MasterMerchant.lua at line 2218. As much as I hate to say this, you will need to scan the last 10 days again for all the guilds you are in. MM was attempting to start at a specific place in time and then scan only newer history. Which is a great idea. The only problem with that is that Zenimax only sorts the guild history when you view it with the UI from the guild history tab. In memory it is not sorted at all. You could have 2 sales from 2 minutes ago, then 100 sales from 1 hour ago, and then 2 more sales from 1 minute ago, and then 100 sales from 3 hours ago. So there is no way to start at a time and go from there. 1. Manually scan your guilds sales data by pressing E to manually update the history. 2. Keep updating your history until you can not press E. 3. Once you have updated your guild history with 10 days of data, you should not need to do that again. (crosses my fingers) There is no /mm missing because it also tried to calculate things from a specific time, and you can not do that. When you log in gauge how long you have not been online. If you have not been on for less then 24 hours then make sure you manually scan guild history when you log on, but for one day only. If you did the 10 day scanning then you will know you are caught up when MM starts telling you there are no new sales.

Re: similar problems
I have made a few more updates to a website I am working on for MM. I try to discuss some of the Myths people have about scanning and show some examples of guild history and briefly explain what is being scanned.
