This is an updated version of the Joviex's Addon Settings Transfer addon created by Joviex

Joviex's Addon Settings Transfer

Transfer your addon settings (non-global, character specific) from one character to as many characters as you want on a per addon basis.

Features
-Toggle which characters receive the settings from the master character
-Select which addons should transfer
-Toggle to reload scene after transfer (Auto-Reload)
-Toggle for per character per addon output (Show Debug)
-Delete user settings -- right click on the "transfer" user
Little wonky if you do not have ALL addons turned on and you want to remove ALL settings
-Dynamic scroll bar for addon lists that are over 20+ items (user selectable length in options)
-Right-Click Addon list to toggle a single addon active (Useful for characters with lots of addons but you only need a few i.e. invert the selection set)

Usage
Type /jovast to bring up addon transfer window
Select a Master, only one will light up green
Select some targets. Any names in green are active targets
Select any add-ons. Any names in green are active targets
Click Transfer Settings!

how to delete old or bugged characters

i have found out that if u disable all addons in the joviex's ingame windows and deselect all target characters then "right click" delete works. if don't just play around deselect targets and addons ,try some transfer combitations and will work maybe (i suggest disable auto reloadui during these steps, just for saving time).

i've used this method to delete some bugged characters entries in the target list (caused by a conflict with bandit/azurah moves frame option ui maybe).

Anyway i have a question, does the tranfer has succes also without a reload ui? What's the meaning of autoreloadui?

The worst part it is a useful addon

I managed to put together a really bad modified version. It's functional, and it allows scrolling of long lists of names, but it displays poorly. I'm not really interested in trying to fix it, but if someone else wants to, they are welcome to do so.

In order to get it to bring the addons list and transfer settings button up into view, you *must* scroll the Transfer From list of names down to the bottom of its list. That will cause the addons list and transfer button to shift up into view. You also can only view and scroll one names list at a time, the other will appear blank but the names are still usable. All three scrollbars are usable.

Anyway, I've loaded my version here: JovAST_ScrollableNames

Let me know if you can't download it for some reason.

Baertram's advice to get other addon authors to include an "Account Wide Settings" option is still the best way to go. Ideally, we should try to get all addon authors to do that for all addons by default. But in the meantime, this should work for a lot of addons (I usually run about 250 addons, not counting libs, and almost all of them work with this version of JovAST).

I would also like to be able to cull my obsolete character names, particularly on the PTS. Then, every time JovAST processes the Refresh function and updates the charsSort array, it checks each entry in charsSort against the ignored characters list, and if there is a match, it removes that name from the charsSort array.

2) Add scroll bars to the displayed characters lists. Since a scrollbar already exists for the Addons list, the code for this is more or less already present. Some copying and pasting would be needed and then modifying variables used to use the correct character-related variables and controls instead of the addons-related ones.

I will try to see if I can make option 2 work for me using the version of JovAST that otherwise functions with all of my addons, namely, v.1.6.6 Try 2 that Baertram linked on 03/29. If I can (and that's a big "if"), then I will make my modified version available here, but don't expect it in the next couple of days (1-2 months is more likely). However, I will not support it, so if it doesn't work for some people, or for certain addons, or if a future version of the game breaks it, etc., I will not update it or try to fix it. If I cannot make such a change myself, then I will not be posting any alternative versions to what Baertram has already made available, but I will try to remember to post a message here in the comments stating that I've given up.

I'm not ging to invest more time here to fix this addon anymore, sorry. It's just not possible to support all addons. If you get error messages, disable all addons and try to copy them manually "each alone" so you can see which ones don't work. You need to copy these manually then.

yes ofc i can do it in Notepad++ to change one hero name to aother
to add another char will be complicated i need to copypast EACH settings in each file twice, and then replace name only in ONE part of settings, this way it will copy first part, but will be for different char

alot harder and alot more time then just simple /jovast and transfer settings from 1 hero to other 17

Thos are NEVER shown within Minion, so the one you see is the last one not moved to outdated yet.

And btw: The addon makes more trouble than it fixes as the SavedVariables can be such different today, that a copy cnanot be easily achieved. You all should skip it and do it manually imo or ask the authors to implement proper settings support for multi server, accounts and chars. Less trouble.

Something is broken on this website.
Not only is this addon not showing up in Minion search results, it says it was updated in 2018 while it really was update yesterday or so (1.6.5).
edit: Or I have no idea. Minion said it was updated, but when I download it, it's indeed files from 2018.

Please click the more info checkbox and copy the TEXT from the error message here, completely!
Put the [ code][/ code] tags (without the space) around it please.
Without the total info and the variables shown with the More info checkbox activated this error messages does not help.

Edit:
Updated a few lines, fixed one global variable and added a check at the error message.
Please do one test and provide me the complete error message with the OLD version installed!

Then redownload from this link and check if this fixed it:

Is there a way (or could there be a way) to consistently prevent a certain addon from syncing, like have it by default de-selected? One of my addons is a gear/skill manager that saves builds per character, but in such a way that syncing with this addon overwrites the settings on the receiving character. I keep forgetting to disable it when I sync and end up messing up my builds.
