Inventory Insight  Popular! (More than 5000 hits)
Version: 3.30
by: manavortex, AssemblerManiac
One Inventory to rule them all!
(Items from banks, house storage, and all of the characters on your account! All in one place.)

What does it do?
  • tracks everything in your characters' Bags, Bank, Guild Banks, CraftBag and Storage Chests
  • tracks items in House(s) (configurable)
  • keeps track of the Gold / AP / Telvar Stones / Writ Vouchers for each character
  • keeps track of the space used/available for each character
  • allows filtering your inventory by item type
  • lets you search the items by name, or by set name
  • adds data to item tooltip showing you where that item is located (all popups/tooltips, or only when over the Inventory Insight window)

Recently added features:
  • FCO Item Saver integration
  • Guild banks tracking is now separate between world servers
  • Jewelry filter is now on main bar (to match rest of base UI)

Library dependencies: (all are available here at ESOUI)

Backlog:
  • Track multiple accounts: Voodoo might be possible

Where do I send massive qtys of gold or mats (or not so massive)?
We gladly accept donations:
NA: @AssemblerManiac
EU: @manavortex

Crash caused by inventory issue

Inventory Insight is working on my alternate account but not on my main account. On my main account, when I enable the Inventory Insight window to display, it does not display and instead my UI crashes so I can't use any menu options, and I can only recover from this by /reloadui.

I looked at the error messages it throws and I see references to inventory. I am wondering if it is caused by the fact that my main account has purchased the Bristleneck War Boar which adds 5 inventory slots to each of my characters, and perhaps Inventory Insight hasn't been set up yet to handle that possibility?

I took screenshots of the error messages and will try to post them here.

Thanks in advance for looking into this!

Absolute fantastic mod! Thank you so much for making it.

I have a request/suggestion for it:
The wonderful BagSpace popup window - would it be possible to toggle off the other characters you have, so you'd only see your currently active character, as well as bank and chests? I don't do a whole lot of character-to-character storage, so all the other characters do is clutter that window for me.

That was my registration reason actually but i was asking for a different solution actually.

Is there any way (right now) or would it be possible to have the different amounts in one line instead of the current list with 1 char/location + amount per line?
crafting store is showing those data as well but without the guild bank option - but small and nice and in one line.

Enhancement Request

Like many out there in Tamriel, I too have multiple characters; some are playing characters, some are simply created for the inventory space... mules...

This request might be a little pedantic, but, currently there is a Inventory Insight window filtering option, called "Bank and Current Character." However (and this is where the pedantry comes in, just because I'm a coder by trade) what it really shows is items that are in Bank OR on Current Character, right? (in programming code, "||") Choosing this filtering option give you a list of items that are EITHER in Bank slots OR in inventory slots on current character...

Can there be another filter option created, so that when I select it, Inventory Insight show me a list of items that are BOTH in a Bank slot AND in an inventory slot on Current Character (in programming code, "&&"), with the intention that I can use this filtering to consolidate same items into one location (on a character or in the bank, but not both) and thus free up overall inventory space.

Not all of us shelled out $10/month for ESO+ or own the craft bag, and we have to go "Maria Kondo" on our inventory management...

Anyway, I truly do enjoy using the add-on and you can tell that I find this to be MAJOR help already. Thanks for developing and maintaining it.

I'm aware of that problem, but haven't found a good way around it while keeping the separate Inv Insight window with info.

If you turn off the separate window "Show Info in Separate Frame", it should solve it.

Re: Re: Error causing problems

I did when I uninstalled II but I'm still getting the error. Could just try it again and see if it does anything different.

Question Request. Please, please, please.

I have 13 characters, so Inventory Insight's tooltip is getting very long. And it will only continue to get longer, as I work towards having 18 maxed characters.

Could you add an option for Inventory Insight to only show total amount owned across all characters, instead of what each character has?
For example, it could say a single line like "Total Owned: x 430",
or "Total For Account: x 430",
or just "Total: x 430".

And then, if necessary, we could use Inventory Insight's UI to see which characters actually have the item.
Assuming it would be possible for Inventory Insight's UI and our bag and bank inventories to have tooltips that work differently and could contain different information from Inventory Insight. If that's not possible, maybe there's some other way to do it?

Of course, this would be a toggle-able option since not everyone may like it like this.
But I certainly would appreciate it.

Also, small note, "Item Count on Right" needs a /!\ message that it'll only take effect after a /reloadui.

new type

Hello, there is a new type not included yet... do you plan on includding it ?

"Collectible Fragment"

The only options are other kind of collectible and fragments... not this one specifically, doesnt even work with simple type("collectible") for some reason...

thanks in advanced

Is there a way to count all the items when you use the search tab? Like when I search for "writ" so I can see how many writs there are (they are all different but share the phrase "Writ").

Schnurri.
Somewhere in settings (don't have ESO open at the moment) there's a stats bar toggle. It'll show count of items found (total and appx # of slots).

Addon's working for me again, except for one thing: if its active I cant deposit items in the bank. If its not, I can. I dont get any errors showing.

EDIT: Nevermind, it seems its Craftbag Extended that was causing something with II.
