Plintkabouter's Noob Filter

It's a death counter that allows you to post deaths from the moment they occur in group.

It works with the following commands:
  • \printint: Print the intermediate death count since the last intermediate reset.
  • \resetint: Resets the intermediate death count.
  • \printtot: Print the total death count since the last total reset.
  • \resettot: Resets the intermediate and total death count.
  • \prefix <Player>,<Prefix>: Gives/Overwrites the prefix <Prefix> for player <Player> in print command.
  • \prefix <Player>: Removes any saved prefix from <Player>
  • \resetprefix: Removes all previously saved prefixes

Added/Changed with version 100030:
  • It is possible to report an intermediate and total death count, each with separate reset-commands. Allowing for the death post for a single run, or the whole evening.
  • You can now add to, remove from, and reset a list of Prefixes used if some member is part of the group. Instead of posting "Player One", it can display "Legendary Player One", etc.
  • It now saves this list of Prefixes account-wide in SavedVariables.
  • Changed name from Plinteroni's Ripperoni to Noob Filter.

Not sure if this addon is stil maintained. I plan to renovate this addon and change it's name to DeathReport. Since current noobfilter might make newer player feel uncomfortable.

Planned change:
1. Add support for short and long version of report. Short version using player name only, and still go to chat, long version will popup a text windows with format of charactor name@account name.
2. Auto add player's role as prefix. Like healer will have (H) before his/her name, and tank will have (T).
3. Save death count in saved variable, data will still be there after reloadui
4. Report all players in the group, including ones with zero death. Good for event organizer to see who participated in the event.
5. Add keybinding for all slash commands

Any other suggestions?

Question: what should I change to see @userid instead of charname?

Could you add an option tosave the death counts in a file, because when i use reloudui while a raid the counter resets. It would be nice if it would be saved.

Hey great idea,

I am supernooblet at making addons but I will look into it to see what I can do

Try downloading AT_Timer addon and see how they implemented keybinds there. Its a very simple addon with little amount of code so backtracking the part responsible for it should be relatively easy.
