Description

What is this AddOn about?
I like achievements and I like to know what to do to complete them and what type of achievements exist without browsing through the entire achievement catalog: This AddOn displays lightweight chat notifications if you make progress in an achievement (please see the screenshots).

Features:

Shows chat notifications if you do something that is needed for an achievement
Triggers on each action or just in x% steps of the achievements requirements (configurable)
Can show some details in the chat notification like (kill 250/1000 Humanoids)
You can toggle the notifications for each category
Lightweight: It is not always present and shows up only when necessary
You can enable account-wide settings

Was hat es mit dem AddOn auf sich?
Ich mag Erfolge und weiß gerne was ich tun muss, um diese zu erledigen und was es überhaupt für Erfolge gibt, ohne das ich mir jetzt alle im Detail anschauen muss: Dieses AddOn zeigt einfache Chat-Benachrichtigungen an, wenn man einen Fortschritt in einem Erfolg erzielt (siehe die Screenshots).

Merkmale:

Zeigt Chat-Benachrichtigungen, wenn etwas gemacht wird was für einen Erfolg nötig ist
Wird bei jeder Aktion angezeigt, oder in x% Schritten (konfigurierbar)
Kann weitere Details zum Erfolg anzeigen, wie (töte 250/1000 Humanoide)
Benachrichtigungen können für jede Kategorie einzeln (de)aktiviert werden
Einfach: Das AddOn ist nicht immer sichtbar, sondern ist nur präsent wenn es nötig ist
Accountübergreifende Einstellungen können aktiviert werden

hmm i just tried it right now and i had no error message. When does the message occur (cat window = settings?)?
Are you using the latest version 2.3?

PS: What eso client language are you using? Any other then english or german?

I have just started using it. Haven't gone through all the settings yet though, just left it at default for now.

Hmm it's not possible to send you a private message. So i have to ask here for "debugging" purposes: Could you confirm, that, if you disable pChat (just for the test), the addon output is just visible inside the first chat tab?

There are some other problems with pChat (cut off notifications). I wrote a fix / workaround for pChat but have to wait for the pChat addon author to implement it.

That worked! Although something strange... before disabling, it was reporting to every tab. Disabled pChat and reported only to main Chat tab. Enabled again and reported to my Chat and Tells tabs (tabs 1 & 2), but not my guild tabs (tabs 3 - 7).

Hello tbirdcharlie,

sry for my late response. The problem is that pChat adds hidden information to chat messages and as a result shortens the max. length of a message. I've created a possible workaround in pChat and contacted the author a long time ago, but as far as i know there is still no alternative solution for developers to implement an alternative chat output besides the pChat addon while the addon is active.

I'm sorry for that, but can't change it at the moment. I may split the messages in the future, but not sure if that is better... (flooding etc) - maybe i'll give it a try.

Hi QuadroTony,

sry for the late response, i was on a festival this weekend. I've checked it right now with a new character.

I couldn't find any errors.
1) Maybe the addon was disabled, due to an old compatibility. Was outdated for the last Brotherhood patch until now (fixed the version a few minutes ago)
2) If you enable the option "Show every update" and possibly "Show details" you should get an output in your chat
3) Take sure that your active chat window shows "System" messages in the chat window configuration

I hope that anything helps, otherwise we would have to dig deeper into solving the problem.

Hmm that message shouldn't appear. Are you using the latest version 2.7?
Can you tell me the other addons you are using so i can try to recreate that problem?

This is most likely because you call your .createSettingsPanel in response to the first ("hijacked"

) EVENT_ADD_ON_LOADED.

If another add-on that includes a newer LAM version is loaded after yours (which may be quite random, as add-ons with no inter-dependency are loaded in unspecified order), then the newer LAM's ON_LOADED handler will run after yours -- which means your calls to LAM functions are deemed "too early".

You should wait for your own "turn" in ON_LOADED, i.e. wait for the event with matching addOnName, and then call LAM.

--- Other notes

Don't define global variable LAM = ...
Put local LAM = ... in the file where you use it.

Regarding OptionalDependsOn in manifest, I'm not entirely sure it considers commas as separators; spaces alone are fine.
