Hi all, I’m back and working on addons again. Times are tough and I am desperately in need of financial support at the moment dealing with disability due to a bleeding brain cavernoma and other expenses on less than $600 monthly fixed income. If anyone can help, or knows anyone that can help, or can possibly feature some of my work on their stream to help drive support my way, I would be immensely grateful. It will help me to continue to bring cool content and updates to you all! ~Phinix |

Thanks, Sharlikran for looking into this! I actually only have the PTS installed ATM but I will take your word for it that the problem is no longer occurring on live servers, unless someone tells me otherwise.

So initially I had some screen shots of the MRL GUI and the tooltip and I showed all the different ways I have tested everything.
I am testing everything I can, and Phinix did provide a video. However, he mentioned he was testing on the PTS. Because of that I just tried it. It doesn't work on the PTS!!! So he is 100% correct... however, that's the PTS. That is not the live server. There are no change notes that I am aware of other then what is in Update 37 (Version 8.3). So if sirinsidiator and ZOS can explain why then we can go from there. For now nothing about MRL is being affected on the live server. sirinsidiator did comment that the PTS is on 8.3.4, and that it is entirely possible that there are some code changes as well. The eso source code we all reference has a commit for 8.3.5. So I doubt changes are finalized at this point. None of which apply to the live server. Since I can see how this affects the Inventory Insight GUI, I will fix that for the Inventory Insight GUI at some point. Again I am not the original author and don't know the intention of doing it that way.

Re: Re: Issues
The error does not appear constantly and I can not reproduce it again. As soon as it appears again, I will let you know.

Re: Issues
@Sondy_G, @traveller76 - RE: Inventory Insight blocking the popup tooltips in MRL (thanks for the heads-up on the conflict BTW); all the authors of IIFA need is to add 'MasterRecipeList' (without quotes) to the ## OptionalDependsOn: line in IIfA.txt.
@art1ink - Not able to reproduce this error, can you give me an example of the specific text you are putting in the search field when this pops up? Is it on the English client or another language?

Re: No longer showing ingredietns
Edit: Found the culprit - at least for me. It's the Inventory Insight add-on, which is a shame because that's a good one for me. I guess I will just disable Inv. Ins. and reloadui when I need to use the pop-up for ESO MRL.

No longer showing ingredietns
I noticed recently that ESO MRL is no longer popping up the window with the recipe info and ingredients list. This, I'm sure, is 100% due to some silly thing I've done, but I wanted to check just in case to see if anybody else is having this issue.

Help!
I need this addon badly, but I can't click anything in the /mrl window without a lua pop up. It's completely unusable. Halp!
NEVERMIND! Thanks Cubernetic!! That fix did it! You ROCK!

Temporary fix for MasterRecipeList.lua:2737: attempt to index a nil value stack trace
The problem is caused by dereferencing a nil value to assign the level which seems to be further used to construct the tooltip string shown after the recipe name.
To fix this you will have to edit MasterRecipeList.lua which will be somewhere at C:\Users\<YourUsername\Documents\Elder Scrolls Online\live\AddOns\MasterRecipeList. Modify line 2737 to: local level = 0 --FormatTooltipText(ProvisioningTable[tId].level) And insert following block after 2742: if ProvisioningTable[tId] ~= nil then level = ProvisioningTable[tId].level end I know this does not fix the root cause but it seems that all recipes and their tooltip are correctly displayed. At least it will work well enough for me until Phinix comes up with the permanent fix.

Excellent addon! I use gamepad and know of its incompatibilities, but this is totally worth switching over to kbm to check certain things. Thank you for making this!
![]() btw, is there a way to disable the "Master Recipe List tracking icons & cooking station modifications are not supported in Gamepad mode!" message at startup instead of deleting the call entry in the lua? |

![]() Everything looks great. I use this addon all the time. The one thing I wish I had access to is the settings option to manually reverse the icon colors with a toggle if desired. For example:
Settings > Addons > ESO Master Recipe List > Inventory Icon Options > Reverse Icon Colors (Green = Known) I always end up editing my MasterRecipeList.lua file to make this unique change after I update the addon (trackaknown_ to trackcknown_, trackcknown_ to trackaknown_). For some reason my brain just digests it better with this appearance. If there was a optional toggle for that it would make my life at least one step less complicated. Anyway, thanks a million. I enjoy this a lot! |

visual glitch when using armory station
hello, I have noticed that when I use the armoury station the Master Recipe menu appears (as if it is a crafting station) and then stays on the screen until I relog. It's not a big issue. It seems like MRL thinks that the armoury station is a crafting station, maybe?
Or maybe it's just my computer being a potato? ![]() |
