AI Vampire Status  Popular! (More than 5000 hits)
Version: 2.4.3
by: Stormknight, CrazyDutchGuy, RibbedStoic
Very simple addon for Vampires that displays on screen your current stage and how long before you progress to the next stage.

You can move it around the screen to where you want and it will save the position. It also disappears when you open inventory etc, so isn't cluttering the screen.

Maybe you should try to do this with 10 addons just to understand what work and time you need for this

The users should just try and see if it works, really simple.
If they fear old addons could be whatever, they should just skip using addons.

Unfortunately, this addon no longer works correctly in Greymoor. The addon checks the player's buffs, looking for one with the vampirism icon. If it found the vampirism buff, it would then calculate the number of minutes remaining for it.

Greymoor changed how vampirism works:
  • The icon's changed, so the addon in its current state can't detect vampirism (the new icons appear to be /esoui/art/icons/ability_u26_vampire_infection_stagen.dds, where n is 1 through 4 - I haven't confirmed all four, though).
  • Vampirism is now treated as a "permanent effect," with an infinite duration (the startTime & endTime parameters from GetUnitBuffInfo() have the same value, and that value is the same used for other permanent effects, such as the ESO Plus buff), so you can't use those values to calculate remaining time.
Unless there's a new function that can retrieve the needed info for the current vampirism stage, this addon's borked.

I'm glad this still works and the code was easy to change, the time only being displayed in minutes was driving me crazy.

Hi there, yeah that was my fault. I should have been more careful after being away for so long. I've released a fix but it's waiting for approval.

So yesterday (10-15-2016) at around 5:26pm MST, the icon on-screen disappeared. When I went to my Addons settings the addon itself was mysteriously gone and showed no indication of ever having been there. I'm uninstalling and reinstalling and I will let you know what happens.

Sorry I've been away for so long, I updated the API version and it looks like it's working with the new API.

This isn't cool, this is the only addon that can tell you your vampire level except Srendarr, but that one also shows your passives and last time you fed on an ally, so that's a no go.

With the possibility that Vampire 4 will now incur a bounty, knowing when you need to feed is important, I hope someone can take over this addon or create a new one completely along the same idea x.x

I am not aware of any color changes based on the stage you are in. I must be honest as i am not a Vamp i can't see that. It should be possible to change coloring based on the stage, but the text should also say what stage you are in allready.
Sorry I was using a different Vamp info addon they look a lot alike but it changed the color as your Rank went up. It was called Vampire Info. Though some of the features from it would make this one nicer. Thank you for keeping it updated.

I'll see if I can hook up with the Addon Author and see if we can merge our efforts. It been a while the addon is updated, and I wonder if he is still active. To Be Continued ...

Changes to the German client

Because the writing is inside the Vamp Picture i had to change the following line:

-- Only initialize our own addon
if (Addon.name ~= addOnName) then return end

Addon.vars = ZO_SavedVars:NewAccountWide("AIVampStatus_SavedVariables", 1, nil, Addon.defaults)

VampireStatus:SetMouseEnabled(true)
VampireStatus:SetMovable( not Addon.vars.locked )

VampireStatus:SetHidden(false)

So now it is shown in the right order again
