AllianceBuddy  Popular! (More than 5000 hits)
Version: 3.2
by: Minceraft, JN Slevin
AllianceBuddy helps you keep track of your Alliance rank and level!!

It is fully movable and also displays your Alliance's Flag!!

Update 1.2 is a patch that fixes a bug (pointed out by sarousse! Thanks!!), where the top level window blocked key aspects of the UI from being
selected with the mouse! That was painful!!!

Update 1.3 fixes an error where the alliance rank number update without UI reload. Thanks to Kylavikos for pointing this one out!!

Edit Scalebreaker (Version 2.2)

Changed the appearance, to work with DarkUI and Added Thousand Separators.

Works without DarkUI aswell, only the Frame will change without DarkUI.

If you like the older Version better, you can just redownload it!
(Version 2.3) Updated for Dragonhold,
Updated the frame, now it looks the same with and without DarkUI and works with or without DarkUI!

(Version 3.0)
This is an (almost) complete rewrite of the addon, now we have a dependency to LibAddonMenu2.0, which lets us choose different options for AllianceBuddy.
These options include:

- Show or Hide the UI
- Show an additional statusbar for the progress toward Grand Overlord
(this is under the main statusbar, if you have progressed more in your current
level you will not see it)
- As hommage to the earlier version, an option to show the previous UI design
(done my Minceraft) changed the statusbar to work with DarkUI.
- Change colors of the statusbar, you can either use the default:
AllianceColors and PVP color gradient or choose your own 2 colors for the
gradient!
(If the Alliance Colors option is enabled, you will not be able to change
the colors of the gradients until you disable it)

Overhauled the design

Added an icon to show if the underdog bonus is enabled or not.

Added a screen announcement once the underdog bonus is enabled / disabled.

Fixed the value of the Statusbar once Grand Overlord Grade 2 has been achieved (it was at 0 therefore no statusbar, now its at 100%)

Changed the rank name to not include the Alliance anymore (kinda redundant with an allianceicon and optional colors)

Added dependency of LibChatMessage.

"Grade 1" and "Grade 2" have been replaced with "I" and "II" respectively to get a tidier look.

Updated the API Version.

Added a percentage counter.
Version 1.1 -- Updated with handlers to hide on menus and inventory being open!!

Version 1.2 -- Fixed a painful bug with the top level window blocking the selecting of core
aspects of the UI by the mouse.

Updated for 1.6!

Updated for 1.7! At last, it's here!!!

Edit Scalebreaker (Version 2.1)

Changed the appearance, to work with DarkUI and Added Thousand Seperators.

the Alliance flag is too large, it's better to make it 64x64
Thanks for your suggestion! I will look at it over the next few weeks, depending on how much time i have.

Also sorry that it took too long to answer.

only in PvP ?

maybe hide it untill you are in a PvP area?

Rare Fish tracker, can hide untill you open map... something like that depending on zone?
... and yes, it *is* a bit too big

Hi,

For some reason, this addon no longer shows up in minion as installed. It is still in my folder. If I try to install it again, it creates a
_MACOSX folder.

Any idea why?

The ChampBar is what makes the default UI for the XP bar disappear, that's one of it's intended function. There shouldn't be anything in the code of AllianceBuddy that does that. Maybe there is some code that is incompatible between the two...?? And yeah, it IS a bit bulky....think I'll add an Immersion Option for the UI to choose a smaller one! Good ideas again, Tony!

AllianceBuddy? I'm not sure what you mean, exactly...

How is the UI too big? Still figuring this stuff out, lol!

When you unzip your files, their file name appears in green in Windows, that's an indication of an encrypting key has been set to protect those files.
To remove it, right click on the folder > properties > general > advanced (at bottom) and uncheck the last checkbox "encrypt data.."

After, the MACOSX folder was just here, simply deleted it "normally", same for the 2 .files

How do you do all that, for future reference ? Id like to know how you changed the security settings and things like that too... I'm still learning and this is interesting!! Where do I look so I can change all that for future addons? ( And leave it to a mac to do something like that lol ) I've see, the .project and .buildpath files and removed them but may have missed em for this update... I believe they come from the lua editor I use. Possibly how it determines which files in the specified folder are currently being worked on, not sure. But I will be going through that editor with a fine-toothed comb tonight, tho!! Thanks again!!!
