What does it do?
  • tracks everything in your characters' Bags, Bank, Guild Banks, CraftBag and Storage Chests
  • tracks items in House(s) (configurable)
  • keeps track of the Gold / AP / Telvar Stones / Writ Vouchers for each character
  • keeps track of the space used/available for each character
  • allows filtering your inventory by item type
  • lets you search the items by name, or by set name
  • adds data to item tooltip showing you where that item is located (all popups/tooltips, or only when over the Inventory Insight window)

Because of those that do not wish to help find the mod causing the conflict I removed the MRL support. I can't troubleshoot it because I'm not using the same mods as those with the issue. It would have been nice to know which mod was causing the issue. I especially can't without a LibDebugLogger file that was created while they had the issue.

The necrom update has some bugs in it anyway that will do things as simple as break resizing windows. The fixes for some of these issues won't be included until the next incremental or update 39. So removing the MRL code will be helpful so that after the release of Necrom when someone realizes something is broken I won't have to hear people complain about it when the user has the issue because of other mods causing the conflict.

You're completely right - libraries aren't downward compatible at all, though, and only the latest version gets loaded, that was what was so funny.
Normally, legacy call == lua error.

Wait: regardless which version of a library a mod embeds, if another mod embeds a more recent version of the same library, then that is what gets loaded and used for every mod that relies on it? That is what I heard you say, and if that's true then my presumptions about how libraries are used was wrong and so was my theory about the cause of the problem.

Is what I heard what you actually said?

After substituting LibAsync 1.7 from Potion Maker, same exact error:

Yes, exactly that.

Sorry that it didn't help - if the problem persists after you tried the two other things, I would ask you to disable all other AddOns and check if it still happens.

I had considered the possibility that the newest 1.7 version of LibAsync in Potion Maker might be the issue, but since my ignorance of libraries was already on display here I favored your next suggestion instead. I tried eliminating the saved variables of all three of the those mods: Inventory Insight, Potion Maker, and Furniture Catalogue.

Through the dense fog of my flu symptoms it certainly looked this morning like that eliminated the error at the guild bank. If that is correct, then was one of the SavedVariables files corrupt or are there specific settings of one or more of the three mods that are required to elicit the error? That could take some time to figure out. What does corruption in a SavedVariables file look like?

It's possible that in some change of variable setup in IIfA (we tried to make changes transparent to the user so there was no need to reload all the data from each character), there was a conversion problem. Without seeing ALL of the IIfA saved vars, there's no way to tell exactly what was wrong (and even looking over several thousand items, might still never find it).

Glad your Inventory Insight is now working properly!

Attention:
You need to login with your characters and open the inventory so the items get scanned and updated in order to be compatible with FCOItemSaver.

Fixed: Marker icons of other characters/guild banks etc. should be shown properly now
Fixed: Tooltips of the FCOIS marker icons should be shown properly now and show the "worn" or "stolen" info from IIfA as well now
Fixed: Context menu marking of items (even not logged-in) should work now
Fixed: Context menu entry texts should show if an item is marked/not marked properly
Fixed: API function FCOIS.MarkItemByItemInstanceId(itemInstanceOrUniqueId, iconId, showIcon, itemLink, itemId) got new parameters itemLink and itemId. One of these 2 is needed to test if the item to mark is researchable (armor, weapon, jewelry) and set the marker icons correct!
Fixed: Automatic de-marks will update properly in IIfA inventory frame
Fixed: House banks marks/demarks fixed
Fixed: Bank items marking will not update ALL items in the bank "visually" with this marker icon anymore

ESO freezes when IIfA and IA are present

Hi there!
I wanted to check out "inventory assisant" but as i was trying to enter my house ESO kept freezing.

I disabled all Addons and did a bunch of tests.
Whenever IIfA (inventory insight) and IA are present simultaneously the game freezes even with solely the 2 of them installed.

I dont know why. i do not get any lua errors that might help.

Just to be sure:
Please disable the beta version of IIfA (+FCOIS integration) and check if this version is cuasing the same problem.

Or did you use the offically released IIfA version?

Hello there,
Can you download the AddOn from here and tell me if the crash still occurs? It'll need a bit more testing before we release officially.

feeling somewhat dumb now. yes i had the beta2 running but didnt realize it.

IIfA from Baertrams beta2 & IA 1.10.180626-beta with no other addons loaded (but still installed)

Question Bank Count wrong

Something is weird with the counts of Items that are, or once were, in the Account Bank.

(I'm using Baertram's latest beta)

After taking those, logging out for awhile, logging back in, playing awhile, and logging out, I looked in the SavedVariables and found:

Well, I haven't done a diff of the 2 versions of IIfADataCollection.lua, but all signs seemed to point to IIfA:ClearLocationData(GetString(IIFA_BAG_BANK)) not working.

I even tried /script IIfA:ClearLocationData("Bank") in the chat, and the Bank counts remained.
