Upgrade Report
Version: 1.0.2
by: Azilarir [More]
Upgrade Report is a very simple mod that adds a few slash commands to generate a summary of your equipped gear and effective level. Gear name will be highlighted in its quality level and its slot and effective level will be shaded from green to red: green means the item's effective level is very close to (or exceeds) your character's level, but red means that the item's effective level is low and the item should be replaced as soon as possible. You can use /upgradereport or /ur to generate a report at any time.

Version 1.0.2 released 7/8/2014

Enjoy.

No idea how stats are calculated...

I have no what you used but my crafting gear is showing as having better level than my gear I quest in...

The gear I'm questing in is another tier higher has higher points in armor and all the stats... the trick is some of it is white, while my crafting gear is green. All my crafting gear is intricate which means it offers no value to wear it while adventuring. My ashen grip and death's wind white gear with divines, infused, reinforced, impenetrable, is far more useful. If the addon can not look at the actual value it is as bad as gear score when it came out which is why so many people hated it. You really want to pull the addon until this is fixed. It is very misleading right now.

Note I did use for several days and compared quite a few pieces of gear, most of the time it payed way too much attention to what color the gear was and ignored the tier jumps all together. When you go up a tier there is stat increase that is far more than one level.

Is this an average level of the current gear equipped or are their weights involved based on what enchants the item is, along with its quality?
It's a mix of both, actually. The API returns an adjusted level of each item, so that these purple legs I'm wearing that's level 24 actually returns 34 (for example). I think that's AWFULLY high and not a good indication of when to upgrade your gear, so I perform some math to give each item an effective level based on quality and the API's adjusted level. It seems pretty spot on to me, but feedback may be nice.

? It seems to report the actual level of the gear, so you know what to look for to upgrade....
