Hide Some Things  Popular! (More than 5000 hits)
Version: 1.2
by: Zinival [More]
All of the features of this mod have been merged into Changes by Jodynn.

This mod is free for anyone to alter/edit/update/patch/expand/etc. No need to ask permission, but a mention in your mod description or readme would be appreciated.

Several options to hide various small parts of the UI individually, so you can customize to your heart's content. Includes options to completely hide action bar buttons individually! For example, you can hide only your quickbar button if you don't want to see it, or hide every button except your Ultimate!

Latest Updates
NEW Option to hide action bar borders. FIXED options to hide ultimate/quickbar buttons in gamepad mode.

Features

HIDE or SHOW
  • Top Bar (dark bar at the top of the screen when you open menus -Keyboard Mode Only)
  • Bottom Bar (dark bar at the bottom of the screen when you open menus - Keyboard Mode Only)
  • Performance Meter Background (seen beneath the FPS and Latency meters)
  • Chat Background (the dark background behind chat)
  • Chat Divider Bar (the thin bar that separates the chat text from the tabs up top)
  • Minimized Chat Bar (the little bar on the bottom-left when chat is minimized)
  • Weapon Swap Icon (between the quickbar button and ability buttons)
  • Action Bar Borders (borders around the action bar icons)
  • Action Bar Keybind Background (the dark bar underneath the keybind text)
  • Empty Action Button Backgrounds (the dark background seen in empty action button slots)
  • Individual Action Bar Buttons (completely hide each individual action bar button, and when I say completely I mean completely - even in combat)

If you have any problems please try reloading the UI before asking me about it. Please do not attempt to turn the action bar buttons on/off while you are near hostile NPCs/players!

ALL of the options require reloading the UI if you choose to turn them OFF. The option to hide individual action bar buttons requires a reload both when turning them OFF and when turning them ON. If in doubt, just read the tooltips when hovering over the on/off button in the options menu.

Not Included

There is no option to hide the compass. There are other addons that do that already, including MiniMap, No Compass, Immersion Toggles, and Hide Elements.
v1.2 Updated API Version and the imbedded LibAddonMenu.

v1.1 Added option to hide action bar borders. Fixed gamepad hide ultimate/quickbar options.

If its not a problem, I would like to hook into the request ^.
Indeed, that would be rly awsome. I hate all that black smudges/backgrounds in ESO UI.

Best Regards!

I found a way to hide the chat notification icon, but I couldn't figure out how to hide the number. It still shows when you have unread notifications.

Have you ever used No, thank you!? If not, you should try it out. It allows you redirect those notifications as messages to chat, and even to block guild MOTD. I've been using it for a few days. It's great. I think that's a much better solution than my clumsy workaround of hiding the icon.

Ooh I didn't realize you could hide the buff icons with Immersion Toggle. That's great.

You'd need to ask the author of the buff addon that you use. Only they would know if it's something that can be done. I do know that it's way beyond my current capability.

Yeah, that annoys me to no end as well! I swear my guilds change MOTD like 30x a day. Anyway, I'll see if it's something I can hide.

What question? I'm open to adding more options for things people want to hide. If it's about the keybind text, though, I'm currently working it.
No and i think its a more complicated one that i can imagine haha : making all buffs hiding out of combat when your player and or target frame is hidden.
Now with your works everything is clean, very clean but i still have those silly buffs showing (food and those with timer), so i was wondering if it was possible to make the buffs apply the same rules that the frame player and/or target.
See ....

So no hurry at all for that. I rather will remove my buffs for my solo play i mean not showing them at all, and create another profil for groups, trials for the time my buffs are really needed to be seen.
