DESCRIPTION
This addon includes many dialog features, to enhance the game experience and to customize it your way.
All-in-one, without fancy colors or custom fonts, in order to stick with a sober interface.
/!\ I recommend to not use a custom UI scale to prevent any improper behaviour.
  • Customize!
    ⋅ Resize and tweak the dialog window,
    ⋅ Tweak all the content: Title, text, and options,
    ⋅ Add nice icons and/or numbers before chat options,
  • Keep history!
    ⋅ Keep an eye on the history of the conversation,
    (I suggest you to vertically shift the window to display more history)
  • Use animation!
    ⋅ Use the text fading animation to make it appear while the NPC is talking,
    ⋅ Customize the speed for regular and some specific dialogs.
  • Specify behavior!
    ⋅ For some specific dialogs, you can mute the NPC, auto-open the store, and speed-up or instantly display the content.

CORRECTIONS
  • In texts, replaces any double space by a single space in texts,
  • In texts, corrects the missing space between the end of a sentence and the beginning of the next (“. A”).
  • For important dialogue options, when using a keyboard, it requires a second key-press for confirmation.

TO DO LIST
  • Implement features in gamepad mode. As I am not actively playing the game, I don't have a planned date for that, sorry guys!
  • Prevent auto-open store if a pledge option is detected.
  • Get feedback from users Feel free to comment or ask for a new feature! Or even add another typo correction.

When claiming ownership of a castle in Cyrodii

EDIT: Also just realized that some NPCs are muted when the Mute Guild Traders option is ticked. They are definitely not guild traders. This is one in a quest in Imperial City: https://i.imgur.com/iduETsh.jpg I wouldn't be surprised if this a bug on the side of Zeni', with NPC identification. Zgoo: https://i.imgur.com/zNWf3oS.jpg

sorry to hear about this issue.

This is strange, because I already manage the value "101" in my addon:

Maybe some of the values have changed in last update? Or their names?

For some reason talking to a banker temporarily breaks the options to skip dialog at regular merchants. Only way to fix it is reloading the UI, then it breaks again every time the banker dialog is opened.

Tasnasi in N. Elsweyr, in the Stitches, has the same problem with being muted when some of the Mute Dialog options are enabled. When I disable all of them she speaks again.

Hey Phuein,

I thought 1.10.4 would have prevented that too.
Auto-open and mute “rules” are basically used the same way in my code.

I guess it has something to do with the options type-indexes.
If there are more than 1 "special" option, the auto-opening or the muting is prevented.
If one of the option is relative to a quest (NPC is involved in a quest), it's prevented too.
If the options are not correctly type-indexed and triggers one of the above cases… I can't do anything.

As I've added some debug output in 1.10.5, we can make sure of what happens.
If you type /ntdial_debug, and then start chatting with a NPC, there should be some information about the options.
(The option type-index is from the https://wiki.esoui.com/Constant_Values)

Is it possible to include an option to temporarily disable muting and dialog skips by holding down the shift key when talking to npc's? That might be one way of dealing with problem npc's like the one mentioned.

It's possible to bind a key for that, but I don't know if it's possible to use shift without binding it!

I have the same settings (screenshot below a few posts) and it seems to be working fine. The banker is muted and I'm sitting on the banker's main menu without it automatically opening any of them.

I guess it was triggering the "Guild Trader auto-open", I've added something to prevent that.
I forgot the fact that the banker is also a guild banker AND a guild trader.

So, I've corrected (again, sorry for that) and uploaded 1.10.8.
I've also reworked a little the "specific dialogs" menu, so that only one specific dialog behavior can be active at the same time.

Let me know if everything works as intended, or not.
