the main function still works.
you see your racial themed shield when blocked properly.
you see a smashed shield when failed to block an important attack.
but we are no longer able to show the incoming damage element.
sadly, its just blocked or failed to block.
Still, a very useful add-on as I find it hard to tell which attacks were and were not blockable. Thanks!

This was something TERA did right, glad to see an add-on thanks. Sooo much more satisfying/assuring to see that "BLOCK SUCCESS!".

thats for sure. every added feature will be optional or maybe a whole new addon.

the plan didnt meant to be a wow boss mod like addon, which is telling you by timers when to react to something. my reason behind this is idea is the following:

this game is great. i'm on hype level 9.000, believe me. but the elder scrolls games lacked since ever in character, enemy and spell animation. sure, its good enough to not look as odd as some indie trash, but its far away from fluid and readable animations like TERA for example. if a game provides readable enemy animations, there should be no need for addons which helps you reacting properly.

sure, there are a lot big enemies in ESO out there which are easy to counter by reacting in the proper way. but the smaller an enemy is, the harder he is to read. in opposite to other games ESO have alot of small sized tough enemies. there are no humans twice as big as you like in games like WoW. thats why i'm thinking about a feature which tells you what the enemy does or how you have to react. like "enemy casting: smash it!", "enemy charging: block it!" or "enemy beast mode: dodge!"

but thats just an idea and maybe redundant with more gaming experience. but now i feel like it can be helpful if there is a big chunk of shiny bling bling effects around you while you need to block and interrupt multiple targets.

no, it doesn't. but there are plans to add a notification to when block specials, auto-attack swings and spells correctly. furthermore we plan to add a notification when to shield bash.
I do not mind redundant notifications or standardizing warnings but I do have a problem with hand-holding add-ons. While I wouldn't use one it does make the game designers job tougher as lazy gamers will use hand-holding add-ons then troll the forums with "This game is too easy" posts.

Feedback is a wonderful thing. Practice with tangible feedback is invaluable especially as we do not currently have any way to duel each other except via Cyrodill. No problem with this aspect.

What is troubling are add-ons that do more than clarify or standardize a warning by making combat not much more than electronic Simon Says.

I look forward to using the feedback portion so as to be a better tank and a tougher player all around. Please make any future improvements modular so I am not tempted to rely on add-ons such as this one /could/ turn out to be to all but play the game for me.

one for a successfull block, one for a failed block.
