Version: 1.4.6
by: muh [More]

    • Arenas
    • Dungeons
    • Endless Activities
    • Trials
    • Battlegrounds

    • Cyrodiil
  • Optional: Get a confirmation dialog instead of logging automatically (requires LibDialog)
    • Only asks in content you selected to be inteested in.
    • Option to get a prompt for normal difficulty modes
      • NOTE: If it is an instance you have not visited in veteran difficulty, it will prompt you regardless of your location settings
  • Allows you to bind logging to a Hotkey
  • Visual On-Screen Indicator
  • /ezlog chat command
    • <nothing> - toggle /encounterlog, including the state of the on-screen indicator.
    • lock or unlock - lock / move the visual on-screen indicator (only if on-screen indicator is enabled)

Automatic logging is disabled by default, please go to the Easy Stalking settings and enable content types you're interested in.

Easy Split

A small utility for ESO logs created with Easy Stalking.

Easy Split will create a separate *.log file for a complete instance run, or reset, which will make it easy to find the clean trifecta or score run you want to share.

Usage
  • simply drag and drop the *.log file you want to split on ezsplit.exe
  • hit [Enter] when the "Jobs done ..."
  • the splits will be found in the directory alongside your original *.log file

version 1.4.6 creates Endless log when turned off

Howdy,
I have trails and dungeons enabled, auto logging on, normal with confirmation on, endless archive off.
I expected no log for endless archives to be recorded.
Instead, I am getting logs for endless archives runs, with no prompt.

Could you maybe elaborate which settings you have turned on, what the behaviour of the addon is and what you would expect given your current settings?

Currently there is only semi-automatic logging of normal content which requires LibDialog to be installed separately.

Thank you for reaching out though. There is only limited testing that goes into normal content from me.

Sorry for my late response.

Have you tried /ezlog unlock or to unlock it in settings?
If you haven't changed the color of the indicator it should turn cyan and the square should be filled. In this state it should be movable. For it to indicate the actual state of encounterlogging, it has to be locked again though.
You're the first person to report issues moving it. Not quite sure what's going on there for you.

I will expose an option to log normal dungeons as well though. Just haven't had time testing it yet.

So is it an option to add something that asks you if you want to create a new file once you exited and re-entered a trial?

I don't think the encounter logs themselves offer such features but the website can probably easily seperate different runs/instances within the uploaded log file.
Just saw this. Sadly the website does not offer this feature. And the seperation within the Uploader tool is not working reliably.

Hey!
Your addons works great.

But I personally fail at splitting the logs (manually by stopping live log or renaming the encounterlog because I often rush from one raid to another, or via the client - giving me errors on the split files / when trying to choose specific raid)

I whonder if your addon could do one of the 2 things when leaving trial (or "auto enable log area")
- access the encounterlog-file and rename it, so the next trial will give a new file
- access the Eso Log Uploader and stop+restart the live log

I realize that usually addons cant really access files outside of the ones they bring... maybe it would work similarly to the TTC-Client, or in a collaboration with the Eso Log Uploader.

I guess a chat message whenever Easy Stalking activates / deactivates logging would already help me XD

Good catch, thank you.

Seems like I never tested reload behaviour with automatic logging turned off.

I took this opportunity to make some changes to the behaviour of the indicator when it is unlocked.
Previously you could clear the box when the indicator was unlocked by toggling logging. It now has a different color when it is unlocked and this color will take precendence over the actual state of encounterlogging.
This means it'll only properly work when the indicator is locked.

You can lock/unlock the indicator with /ezlog lock and /ezlog unlock respectively now.

Heya,

I do not think the ESO API allows you to delete files (which is good) and the name of the log file can't be changed either. So what you're asking for most likely requires a seperate stand alone program.

That said, you should probably look into esologs.com and their uploader. Their client allows you to split a log file where you select a set of logged encounters to upload. They should be easily distinguishable.

The website also clearly seperates each encounter, so you would be able to e.g. live log privately for your guild only. When you complete a good run you want to share publicly you should be able to select the same log file, split it to select only the encounters of your good run and upload only that part publicly.
