What does it do?
  • tracks everything in your characters' Bags, Bank, Guild Banks, CraftBag and Storage Chests
  • tracks items in House(s) (configurable)
  • keeps track of the Gold / AP / Telvar Stones / Writ Vouchers for each character
  • keeps track of the space used/available for each character
  • allows filtering your inventory by item type
  • lets you search the items by name, or by set name
  • adds data to item tooltip showing you where that item is located (all popups/tooltips, or only when over the Inventory Insight window)

  • FCO Item Saver integration
  • Guild banks tracking is now separate between world servers

On that note, I'm just curious - why doesn't the addon use the unique ID by default? Instead, it starts off storing the item name (also known as the "key" as you mention, I think?).

When I first started using the addon and marked certain items, I would inevitably get the same item but with different traits or enchants. This led to me marking one item and having the same mark happen to another item with the same name.

E.g., I would set an item to "Research" because it has a trait I need. Another item with the same name but with a trait I've already researched would also get marked as "Research".

This stopped after I set the addon to use unique ID instead, so it's not a problem. I'm just wondering why this isn't the default. Seems like everyone would want it set to unique ID so they're not accidentally marking several similarly-named items.

Thanks again for this. Especially when using the little filter buttons at the bottom of the inventory window, this addon is a real lifesaver when it comes to organization and quick deconstruction of items I'm not saving for research.
IIfA does use unique keys (item link), not names, for identification purposes.

But if you have two of the same item (a flame staff or similar), and they're identical, then they're stored under ONE entry. If only one of the two is locked by vanilla locking system, we can't tell which is which to display it in IIfA, and I think a "half locked" indicator might be bit confusing.

If it's locked by FCO ItemSaver, which I think locks by name & some stats, it'll show all of that item as locked (I know it's happened with some rings I have - locked one, it applied to all that were "same").

I've refreshed my mem (after re-reading some code), and now I know why something like this doesn't exist. We store items by their key, or a unique ID, not the bag/slot number which is how the built-in locking works. We have no easy way to track wether it's locked or not. FCOIS uses item link to lock items, so it can display its markers with no problem.

In house storage (either placed items, or items in chests) is only available if you visit a house. They locked it up so that all house storage is only active while you're in one of your own houses.

You can turn on house placed item tracking, and chests should be tracked by default (I think).
Assign Inv Insight to a key. Once you've toggled it on, it'll remember that state until you X it off, or toggle it off again.

Little misunderstanding I think, the tracking of items stored in housing bank works fine, I am just missing the interface of Inventory Insight when opening a storage container. Is there a way to enable it there? At Bank, Inventory and crafting it works well!

Without knowing what is locked in Inventory Insight, I occasionally accidentally mark the item not realizing I've already locked it for something else. And then I get back to my bank and I have locked items with other FCO icons on them.

PTS Crash Issue

I've checked with ZOS, and this is the result of a problem with security enhancements in the Sept 23rd version of PTS. ZOS has found and solved the problem. It'll be available on PTS in a week or two (I'm not sure which specific update will have it.)

Until new PTS has it, here's how you get around it (only need to do this once):

/script IIfA.data.fontList[100029] = {"Tooltip Default"}
/reloadui

The fonts won't be available to choose in IIfA until new PTS has working code. After that, a reset of the var will be necessary with (only need to this once too):

/script IIfA.data.fontList[100029] = nil
/reloadui

Another question please.. How can I sort by "sets name"? When I use the set filter on bottom, it still sorts by the item name and not by set name, so they are not grouped and I dont know how many pieces...
