patched version indicator from v2.6.5 to v2.6.7

...some beta update could be in the Comments section
...last version always on GitHub

An in-combat complement to the Quickslot Radial Menu
  • Each Profile contains five custom Presets of up to eight equipped Slots.
  • One Profile for each of your characters.
  • And one for an Account-wide configuration you can access from any of your characters.
  • All Settings are saved after each session and restored at login.
And I totally approve Miss Bizz YouTube video about GQSB .. (a bit outdated but cute enough)

1. LAYOUT OPTIONS

  • In-combat delayed Preset swap (at the end of a fight)

    end of a fight)

9. Pre-release on GitHub
Some corrections could be underway and, until next release, some In-Progress
version could be accessible on GitHub.

When you deploy a master zip from GitHub, the result should be a single folder
named after the Addon's name, under your live\Addons\ folder.

There should be no piled up folders such as GreymindQuickSlotBar\GreymindQuickSlotBar

Like so for W7:

%USERPROFILE%\Documents\Elder Scrolls Online\live\AddOns\GreymindQuickSlotBar

you can try an copy-paste this line in File-Explorer

- check_QSB_BAG_BACKPACK_slotId_to_check:

. if this item is part of the current PRESET-ITEM-SET,

Re: Chat messages

Hi Martigan02, here is a tamed version that warns only once:
v2.6.7.2 211125:14h:05 pre-release on GitHub click here to load from GitHub
Checked with Update 32 Deadlands (7.2.5): (API 101032)
1 - Added QSB.ChatMute flag to warn only once about needing a refill
2 - LibDebugLogger (if installed) to save logs in SavedVariables\LibDebugLogger.lua

If you find a way to capture chat messages into a file or the clipboard that would survive a /logout,
you could activate /gqsb debug to get an idea about what the addon is doing right before the crash...
But I have no idea how you could do that.
Got one: added some calls to LibDebugLogger to save /gqsb debug logs.
With the new version and some testing, i have no more problems. And it hides totally so its exactly what i wanted
Thank you!! finally i can use your last version after months of sticking with old ones lol

What do you mean with "traced to D_EQUIP" ?
I can't guess what could be a problem involving the D_EQUIP function and the DEBUG_EQUIP flag...

The "ITEM EQUIP ERROR TYPE" is a warning message printed when there is an obsolete itemLink in a Preset that needs to be removed and this should only happen as an exception.
it happens either for that or for empty slots, and (again) ignores any settings set to mute things
traced as in: that's where this in particular stems from

OK, it would have looked better if we new what did save the day but we should not complain when Murphy's law works backwards

I'm going to keep the optional use of LibDebugLogger when it's installed, that wont hurt to have a record of chat debug messages saved in a file.

1 - Using LibDebugLogger (if installed) to save crash logs in: SavedVariables\LibDebugLogger.lua

With LibDebugLogger installed, chat logs will be saved up to the crash in this file :
%USERPROFILE%\Documents\Elder Scrolls Online\live\SavedVariables\LibDebugLogger.lua

character login and /reloadui will clear previous session logs.
/gqsb clearchat will also clear logs right away.

Just did the same thing .. nothing wrong happened.
There must be something config or game-upgrade dependent.
After your 18 attempts, I won't try to suggest any smart move you could try you haven't already.

If you find a way to capture chat messages into a file or the clipboard that would survive a /logout,
you could activate /gqsb debug to get an idea about what the addon is doing right before the crash...

I expect you won't be the only one having this issue...
We'll see if others will have something to report about it.

thanks, will check in few again

(and i did start each time a fresh install, so you can say i did that 18 times total)

The crash i talk about was happening this way : reloadui to save the settings of Greymind. Then log out
and only then the crash occured each time aka 18 times.

As soon as i removed the addon and put back a saved version older, crash stopped immediatly. And since never crashed again.

2 times i noticed there was a line added in the settings : GetInterfaceForCharacter = nil

If that can help

...looks quite like the v2.6.6 bug that I corrected with v2.6.7.

More even, each time i log out, the game crash and the savedvariables is resetted with multiples save of the same character, and even a accountwide when i do not select the option
...chances are this is an evidence for some other explanation.
An addon has nearly no chances to crash the game as it works in a confined environment that would handle most of fatal errors.
By experience, I would say that's not for sure but very likely so.

I am not sur the last version has been downloaded actually. The .txt shows 2.6.5 and it seems my problems come from this version as you said you corrected it in 2.6.7
...that could be a good motivation to completely erase any trace of GQSB (you don't loose much that you can't fix with less pain than you've already gone through).

i will go back to the very very old version then again LOL
...you should completely remove GQSB addon folders and SavedVariables files:
%USERPROFILE%\Documents\Elder Scrolls Online\live\AddOns\GreymindQuickSlotBar
%USERPROFILE%\Documents\Elder Scrolls Online\live\AddOns\LibAddonMenu-2.0
%USERPROFILE%\Documents\Elder Scrolls Online\live\SavedVariables\GreymindQuickSlotBar.lua
Then reinstall both addons last version from scratch.
...also a GAME OPTIONS ▶ Repair may help.

...

and i've just got comment #1000 (no cheat, I swear)
