Overview

This addon is intended to give a quick overview of the current objective battles in Cyrodiil without going to map. It shows the current scoring and info on keep battles. The intent is to show the most common and most relevant information quickly

Features
  • Always show possible points per alliance and time to next score evaluation
  • Show which keeps are currently under attack
  • Show friendly and enemy siege counts
  • Show duration of each battle
  • Highlight new battles with red background fading to normal black
  • Highlight finished battles
  • (Option) Show Imperial City districts under attack
  • (Option) Auto-hide quest tracker.
    Supported trackers:
  • Integration with CyroChat

Usage
The addon will auto-enable whenever you are in Cyrodiil.

If you do want to disable it for a bit (PvE questing in Cyrodiil), the following command will toggle the window:
Code:
/cyrhud
To show the settings open the LAm settings menu by pressing ESC and then choose "Addon settings", or type the chat command
Code:
/cyrhuds
You can also setup a keybind in the "controls" game menu to toggle the Cyrodil HUD.

Localization
The main display only shows text for the keep/resource names, which are translated as part of the base game. The settings menu has text in:
  • English
  • Japanese - by @Lionas
  • French - by Llwydd
  • German - by Baertram

I use the English client, so that has the most attention for formatting. There is some formatting for the French and German clients to help resource names display better. Any shortening is just a quick replace and may not be grammatically correct, as I do not speak French or German.

Please PM me if you want to contribute an additional translation or if you run into localization issues.

Possible additions
I'm not actively working on this addon, but here is a rough roadmap for if I start work on it again.
(Or if someone wants to implement one of these, I'll be glad to help. )
  • Show scroll info if a scroll is being carried
  • Show PvP quests (Kill, Scout, Capture)
  • Have better indication of original owner when battle ends with capture
  • Show counts of carried siege/repair kits
  • - if above, make those clickable to add to quickslot and select

Yeah, something like that would work, and I'd probably either do that or overlay the winner's banner. Unfortunately, it's unlikely I'd push out any major feature changes before Update 6 goes live. I have some real life issues atm that make it difficult to play or develop addons. I've pretty much just been maintaining/bugfixing.

Which do you use? The default, Wykkyd's, or another one? I had it in initially for Wykkyd's (only) while developing (with no option to disable) but removed it because I didn't make a menu. So if you use Wykkyd's and don't mind changing the file, it's already there just commented out on lines 244 and 270. Just remove the "--" and it'll work. Here are the lines for search:

Lua Code:
  1. --if WYK_QuestTracker_MQT then WYK_QuestTracker_MQT:SetAlpha(0) end
Lua Code:
  1. --if WYK_QuestTracker_MQT then WYK_QuestTracker_MQT:SetAlpha(1) end

Alternatively Wykkyd has a feature where you can keybind show/hide of the quest tracker.

I'll look at adding a menu soon for at least that one. I shouldn't need much testing (since it just really needs a menu option), so I might be able to get that in sooner than Update 6 live.

I'm using the default quest tracker.

Would you consider adding a keybind option for the /cyrhud command? Then, with the tracker set to auto-hide, theoretically one could press that button to switch between showing the quest tracker and the PvP info. (I can submit this idea as a Feature request if that would help to keep track of it better.)

Unfortunately I'm pretty sure it doesn't stack keybinds like that. It would unbind one of them. So you'd be looking at pushing 2 keys -- one for each element (which would also toggle them separately if you wanted both present).

For timing (both this and campaign title), I should definitely have it in place before Update 6 goes live, but it'll still likely be a few weeks.

Oh, I guess I misunderstood. I was hoping hiding the quest tracker would be an automatic function of the add-on (if the setting was enabled), and then using /cyrhud (or its keybind) would disable the add-on functionality, including "disabling" the hidden quest tracker, making it reappear.

Status Update

So, RL and a different ESO side project put this on hold a little bit. That side project is mostly done, Right now I'm planning on releasing a keybind option for the /cyrhud toggle when 1.6 goes live. Perhaps the quest tracker hide will make it there as well.

Additional text display is being pushed back because I'm making a couple improvements for handling text. It'll make the keep labels a bit more generic, so I can switch them up to show different messages. For example:
- scroll messages (scroll and carrier)
- PvP daily quest messages (kill, scout, keep, and scroll)
- Overview messages (campaign name, time, total points)
This does require a bit of backend change.

No ETA, especially since I get caught up playing the game at times, but that's a rough idea of where I see this going.

Quest tracker hiding and keybind added for 1.1.0.

The messaging part is still probably a few weeks out.

Please, could you add a "lock window" setting? My minimap is where CyrHUD appears, so I move Cyrhud but everytime I log off and log on CyrHUD is back in corner.

Awesome! Give me a poke when the vanilla quest tracker can be hidden as well
Looking forward to the new messages

API Version decreased

Hey Sasky, just FYI

I just downloaded the last update with Minion and it came with an API version of 100009 instead of the latest one.

Thank you for this great addon man!

Best regards,
Leeux.

Lets try that again...

Well, so the changes didn't actually get pushed, so it was essentially still the old version. (If you look, the addon still says it's 1.0.4.) I did fix the API version... it just never made it to the site.

Full details: I use git for my addons and actually post them using the Git features on the site. I didn't actually push the changes from my local before making the zip. Guess I really should verify the version in the zip.

---------------------------------------------

@solaxx : so you're not seeing the window persist?
It's saved the position between relogs since before 1.0. I just verified with the latest version and it still works for me.

1) Is this new or did it happen with the update?
2) If you look at your saved variables, do you see values saved for CyrHUD?
3) Are you exiting the game with Alt+F4? It might not properly save the location out if you do that.
