DESCRIPTION
This addon includes many camera features to enhance the game experience.
Gain total control and enjoy all the world using the camera settings you want depending on what you do.
  • Control!
    ⋅ Add some useful bindings to control the camera: shoulder swap, center, …
  • Don't change!
    ⋅ Prevent the camera change that occurs on interactions: chatting, craft stations, style station, lockpicking, …
  • Dynamic!
    *NEW* Camera can be configured to dynamically change when you're moving,
    ⋅ Replace the camera change for each interaction type with a custom one,
    ⋅ Configure your own camera change on “events”: mounting, stealth, combat, draw/sheath weapon, werewolf.

BINDINGS
  • Swap camera shoulder side,
  • Toggle camera in center position,
  • Swap / Toggle (If you prefer using only one keybind: 1 press to center, 2 to switch side),
  • All the above got 2 possible bindings: 1 for a smooth switch, and 1 for a fast instant switch,
  • Toggle siege camera.

  • Cross-characters settings

  • Camera preferred parameters: distance, field of view, and horizontal/vertical position. It overrides the regular camera settings.

  • 3 static cameras can be configured. Only works with keybindings.
    ⋅⋅⋅
  • Prevent any camera change on interactions : talking to NPCs, using craft stations, lockpicking, reading, siege.
    That really is better for immersion not to change the camera on each interaction! You can't imagine.
    For example, when you talk with someone, the camera won't focus on them.
    (I recommand to allow the camera change for “Stations”, anyway, that's strange to craft without moving.)
  • Use your own camera settings when in interactions.

  • Automatically change any of your camera settings when "events" occur: chatting, mounting, in stealth, wielding weapons, in combat, in werewolf form.
  • *NEW* “On movement” event has been added, camera feels more dynamic that ever!
  • Preset can be picked between: None / Center camera on 3rd person / Switch to 1st person / Switch to 3rd person / Custom (Do what you want).
  • There are also some specific parameters for the events: use combat to trigger draw weapon, delay to restore for combat, keep minimal distance while in werewolf…
  • Option to prevent another camera change when on mount.

I like the new additions. Not sure how difficult this is but it would be great if I could have a different preset 3P camera distance and angle for dialogs and combat.

Just wandering - can you make siege weapon works from 1st person view only ? I am looking for that addon . One person already made very good addon for forcing everething into 1st view, but seige weapon still 3d view .

Finally, I didn't manage to look for that but I added and modified so many things that I had to release 1.2.
I'll be looking into it soon.

Hi, first of all, FANTASTIC WORK, this is what I have always wanted since I started playing a month ago.

There's just one thing.. whenever the camera switches to combat, right when it begins to transition the camera jumps a bit... its more noticeable when the default camera is close to the shoulder and the combat camera is zoomed out to center. Its just a weird jerk in the first 2-3 frames.

Is it this just me or can you see it too?

Sure I can see it too, this is something that happens when switching from shoulder to center or the contrary.
I can't find a way to remove that, as this is caused by the default transition of the game.
You can recreate this "jump" in the Settings/Camera, when switching the Horizontal position from 0 to 100
or 100 to 0.
(I'm moving my "known issue" sentence on the very top of the addon, it was in the "bindings" section but applies to everything. )

In fact, when in center, the camera is "above" our character's head, and when on side the camera is at the same height than our character's head. The game seems to adjust the height very fastly and then applies correctly the transition on the horizontal position.

I already tried several times to make my own transition but I can't manage to make it work. If I could make a custom transition work, there would be no jump.

I managed to alleviate the issue by not using the "center" options.

There is just one thing I also discovered, might be a bug.

When I enter combat, the camera transitions correctly into combat camera, when combat ends, it transitions to the default camera.

but

when I enter combat from stealthy camera, and the combat ends, the camera remains stuck and does not transition into out-of-combat/default camera

I'll do some testing and try to correct that as soon as possible. It will be v1.2.x.
It's not easy to test every case here, I'm glad you took the time to write it to me.

I managed to create a setting that transitions beautifully without the initial jump.

For combat camera, I set the horizontal to -0.5

And my horizontal offset is set to 66% in the Game's camera menu.

Thanks for your amazing work, ill just keep stealthy disabled for now but Im soooo happy! I always had to manually zoom my camera out and in when exploring/combat and now its just automatic.

edit: to clarify, I wanted an close over-the-shoulder camera for exploring... and a zoomed-out center camera (like zelda) for combat. With those settings this works wonderfuly
