Inventory Insight  Updated less than 3 days ago!  Popular! (More than 5000 hits)
Version: 3.28
by: manavortex, AssemblerManiac
One Inventory to rule them all!
(Items from banks, house storage, and all of the characters on your account! All in one place.)

What does it do?
  • tracks everything in your characters' Bags, Bank, Guild Banks, CraftBag and Storage Chests
  • tracks items in House(s) (configurable)
  • keeps track of the Gold / AP / Telvar Stones / Writ Vouchers for each character
  • keeps track of the space used/available for each character
  • allows filtering your inventory by item type
  • lets you search the items by name, or by set name
  • adds data to item tooltip showing you where that item is located (all popups/tooltips, or only when over the Inventory Insight window)

Recently added features:
  • FCO Item Saver integration
  • Guild banks tracking is now separate between world servers
  • Jewelry filter is now on main bar (to match rest of base UI)

Library dependencies: (all are available here at ESOUI)

Backlog:
  • Track multiple accounts: Voodoo might be possible

Where do I send massive qtys of gold or mats (or not so massive)?
We gladly accept donations:
NA: @AssemblerManiac
EU: @manavortex

- New item on the list GUI. Directly above the text search area, there's a checkbox "Filter on Set Name only". When checked, ONLY items from Named Sets (crafted or dropped) will appear in the list, and any text in the search box will be looked for only in set names, not the name of an item.

- added sub filter for Recipes - now lets you filter on Food, Blueprint, Praxis, etc.
- new icons for added motifs, updated motif text to match real names
- items are renamed at every login, and after reloadui. If you change language, the names on the items will now reflect that change, instead of only after one has been removed from everywhere and re-added

Error on start and blank settings window

Hi, I am using version 3.28 and I have never used a previous version. Still I get this error and a blank settings window for this addon. Taken from my interface error log.

user:/AddOns/IIfA/IIfAMenu.lua:38: in function 'buildFontRef'
user:/AddOns/IIfA/IIfAMenu.lua:115: in function 'IIfA:CreateOptionsMenu'

user:/AddOns/IIfA/IIfAMenu.lua:792: in function 'IIfA:CreateSettingsWindow'
<Locals> self = tbl, savedVars = tbl, defaults = tbl, panelData = tbl </Locals>
user:/AddOns/IIfA/IIfA.lua:474: in function 'IIfA_onLoad'
<Locals> eventCode = 65536, addOnName = "IIfA", valDocked = true, valLocked = false, valMinimized = false, valLastX = 400, valLastY = 300, valHeight = 798, valWidth = 380, lang = "en", defaultGlobal = tbl, default = tbl, ObjSettings = tbl, worldName = "EU" </Locals>|r

Re: Re: LUA Errors V3.28

I have something very similar. I jumped over to a pack mule character only seven addons loaded (one of which was IIFA) and was met with an error.

Code:
user:/AddOns/IIfA/IIfAMenu.lua:37: attempt to index a nil value
stack traceback:
user:/AddOns/IIfA/IIfAMenu.lua:37: in function 'buildFontRef'
|caaaaaa<Locals> varName = 23, Data = "ITEMTRIG_FONT_LIST_ITEM" </Locals>|r
user:/AddOns/IIfA/IIfAMenu.lua:109: in function 'IIfA:CreateOptionsMenu'
|caaaaaa<Locals> self = tbl </Locals>|r
user:/AddOns/IIfA/IIfAMenu.lua:786: in function 'IIfA:CreateSettingsWindow'
|caaaaaa<Locals> self = tbl, savedVars = tbl, defaults = tbl, panelData = tbl </Locals>|r
user:/AddOns/IIfA/IIfA.lua:474: in function 'IIfA_onLoad'
|caaaaaa<Locals> eventCode = 65536, addOnName = "IIfA", valDocked = true, valLocked = false, valMinimized = false, valLastX = 400, valLastY = 300, valHeight = 798, valWidth = 380, lang = "en", defaultGlobal = tbl, default = tbl, ObjSettings = tbl, worldName = "NA" </Locals>|r
However, this is version 3.27, so if that's what people have then they need to give 3.28 a try.

I'm not having this issue with the latest version. When you delete saved variables, are you doing it while ESO is completely closed? I found out that Minion's "Delete variables" checkbox in the Uninstall window doesn't work unless ESO is fully shut down.
Always with ESO completely closed. And when I delete saved variables I have done it both manually and let Minion remove it. I have also installed Inventory Insight directly from this website instead of using Minion at all and am getting the same results of it being completely broken.

Use of add-on completely gone

Greetings! Much love for this amazing add-on but a couple of days ago, it suddenly stopped working for me. I am experiencing similiar issues other members have already posted in this forum.

The add-on shows as installed and enabled in-game and you can even see the section for it's settings under Settings>Add-on's. However, this settings panel is COMPLETELY blank. It only lists the Author & Version. The current version IS 3.28 (the most recent) and all other libraries required for this add-on are installed and updated. I also have the previously posted issue where I can press my Inventory Insight keybind and it will bring up the interface but it is completely blank in all aspects.

I have already completely purged Inventory Insight itself, deleting saved variables etc to no avail. I then purged all the required LIBS associated with it and deleted THEIR saved variables as well, all to no avail.

I would really appreciate some help on this and let me know what other information is needed!

Thank you.

Try 3.28, it solves some problems.

At worst, delete your savedvars file, and see if it's working better after that (make a backup of it though).
Thanks, i originally downloaded the addon and update through minion, then i uninstalled it and re-downloaded it manually from this page and its working now

Re: update to 3.27

I've created a pull request to fix this @AssemblerManiac:
https://github.com/AssemblerManiac/I...Insight/pull/2

The reason is e.g. another addon like CraftSToreFixedAndImproved which adds a font without a function GetFontInfo.

The II windows can be opened and displayed on the screen, but no inventory items or currency is shown. Searches have no results displayed.

I reverted back to 3.26, no error and all inventory displays seem OK.

If you mouse over the Bag icon in the top left area, you can see space for all characters, the bank, and all of your storage chests. note: Storage chests only update while in your house, so if you have chests loaded with stuff before starting to use Inv Insight, you'll need to visit a house first for it to catalog all of your chests.

FCOIS uses item link to lock items, so it can display its markers with no problem.
Ok, thanks anyways.

On that note, I'm just curious - why doesn't the addon use the unique ID by default? Instead, it starts off storing the item name (also known as the "key" as you mention, I think?).

When I first started using the addon and marked certain items, I would inevitably get the same item but with different traits or enchants. This led to me marking one item and having the same mark happen to another item with the same name.

E.g., I would set an item to "Research" because it has a trait I need. Another item with the same name but with a trait I've already researched would also get marked as "Research".

This stopped after I set the addon to use unique ID instead, so it's not a problem. I'm just wondering why this isn't the default. Seems like everyone would want it set to unique ID so they're not accidentally marking several similarly-named items.

Thanks again for this. Especially when using the little filter buttons at the bottom of the inventory window, this addon is a real lifesaver when it comes to organization and quick deconstruction of items I'm not saving for research.
IIfA does use unique keys (item link), not names, for identification purposes.

But if you have two of the same item (a flame staff or similar), and they're identical, then they're stored under ONE entry. If only one of the two is locked by vanilla locking system, we can't tell which is which to display it in IIfA, and I think a "half locked" indicator might be bit confusing.

If it's locked by FCO ItemSaver, which I think locks by name & some stats, it'll show all of that item as locked (I know it's happened with some rings I have - locked one, it applied to all that were "same").
