AlphaGear 2  Popular! (More than 5000 hits)
Version: 6.12.0
by: mesota [More]
Anything you need to manage your skills and gear.
I've adopted this great AddOn from AlphaLemming and changed the name to "AlphaGear 2" for the version that I maintain.

AlphaGear 2 lets you create up to 20 profiles each with 16 builds that may be activated with a single button press. Each build consists of
  • 7 pieces of armor
  • 3 pieces of jewelry
  • 2 weapon bars including poison
  • 2 skill bars
  • 1 outfit or
  • 1 style (outfit, costume, pet etc. using AlphaStyle integration) (optional)
  • 1 FCO Item Saver gear icon (optional)
  • 1 Champion Point Set using Champion Points Slots add-on (optional)

Please backup your AlphaGear settings prior update!

Now available: Integrations!

    • Ask for help in the forum

Known Issues
  • Updating a version prior 6.x with minion doesn't seem to work. Workaround: Delete the .../AddOns/AlphaGear directory and reinstall AlphaGear 2. Don't delete anything from .../SavedVariables. AlphaGear 2 will reuse your already created sets.

Credit goes to...
  • Marify for Japanese translation
  • adrienmoorea for French translation
  • Hoft for Russian translation
  • Snow and many others for valuable feedback
  • UESP for the list of skill ids prior to Summerset

Found a Bug? Missing Feature?
Just post a comment. I'll add (almost) any request to the wish list.

AlphaGear 2 Version Numbers

I use the following semantics for AlpahGear 2 version numbers:
<Major>.<Minor>.<Patch> <Qualifier>

Major: Always "6" for the branch that I maintain
Minor: Increases with every new ESO version:
  • 3.1 (Horns of the Reach) = "0"
  • 3.2 (Clockwork City) = "1"
  • 3.3 (Dragon Bones) = "2"
  • 4.0 (Summerset) = "3"
  • 4.1 (Wolfhunter) = "4"
  • 4.2 (Murkmire) = "5"
  • 4.3 (Wrathstone) = "6"
  • 5.0 (Elsweyr) = "7"
  • 5.1 (Scalebreaker) = "8"
  • 5.2 (Dragonhold) = "9"
  • 5.3 (Harrowstorm) = "10" (never made it to release)
  • 6.0 (Greymoor) = "11" (never made it to release)
  • 6.1 (Stonethorn) = "12"
  • 6.2 (Markarth) = "13"
  • 6.3 (FoA) = "14"

Patch: Increases with every fixed bug or enhancement within a minor version.
Qualifier: Arbitrary labels like "alpha", "beta" to indicate a version which is not ready for production ;).

You can edit the AlphaGear.lua file.
Find the line 109:
local MAXSLOT, SELECT, SELECTBAR, DRAGINFO, TTANI, SWAP = 16, false, false, {}, false, false

and change 16 to something bigger. But keep in mind if you set up a bigger number then the game might get unstable. I tried with 30 and it worked for me.

For profiles you can change:
local MAX_PROFILES = 20 at line 114
You are right about the stability piece, i set to 40 but i also changed other values to 40 which may have messed things up. I was able to get my old gear to load but it was buggy and eventually crashed my entire UI. It seems that the existing saved variable lua needs to be populated with the empty fields

Its greyed out for me as well.

Did you download my version?
Also do you use BugCatcher? Does it throw any errors?
Did you try to set up and CPS saves manually?
Anyone with problems can add me on discord at ZepoxNyan#1337
I will help you

I will try to maintain it as long as I play, since i prefere it over "DressingRoom" and other similar addons.
So far I have no issues with my install. Sadly I cant contact the author, neither here nor on github.

But if you scroll down in the comments you can find my upload. It should work without any problems. Even the integrations should work.

If you find any bugs feel free to msg me.

Maybe this is your problem?

"Did you install it, while ESO was running? It is a common mistake, that new textures do not show up, if they are added after game startup. You have to close the client and delete the live\ShaderCache.cooked file." Votan for a different problem.

I do not know if the icons are textures or not just maybe they are related.

Also make sure all of the libs are updated and as a last resort disable all of the other addons so just Alphagear is running.

If none of that works I am out of ideas.
No success sadly. I closed ESO. Removed the file you mentioned, also removed saved variables of AlphaGear and installed it again.
Same situation. I also disabled all other addons and libs i have installed with no success.

It's not game breaking tho but still sucks.

BTW: Some UI Icons like the helmet you can click to view the profiles was visible at first and then disappeared. Dont know when tho
AND all other mods are working just fine)

Yes and its a fresh install of ESO too. Removed all former addons and saved variables.

As you can see on the screenshot, the icons are missing next to the front and back bar slots 1 and 2.
