An in-combat complement to the Quickslot Radial Menu
  • Each Profile contains five custom Presets of up to eight equipped Slots.
  • One Profile for each of your characters.
  • And one for an Account-wide configuration you can access from any of your characters.
  • All Settings are saved after each session and restored at login.
And I totally approve Miss Bizz YouTube video about GQSB .. (a bit outdated but cute enough)


1. LAYOUT OPTIONS
  • You can drag an Unlocked-UI corner to visualize from one up to 8 Quick Bar Slot buttons
  • 1x8, 8x1, 2x3, .. Row x Col .. (8 cells max)

When you deploy a master zip from GitHub, the result should be a single folder
named after the Addon's name, under your live/Addons/ folder.


There should be no piled up folders such as GreymindQuickSlotBar/GreymindQuickSlotBar

Problem Solved. I didn't realize that you still had to press the Quick Slot button to use the item after making it the Quick Slot item. The add-on description says:

"2.Probably more useful, is that you can also set up hotkeys (from the Escape menu -> Controls) and press the hotkey to set that item as the current quick slot item and then use it (default: Q)."

So when it says "...and then use it..." I thought it meant the add-on did that step for you.

Is there any way to add an option to the add-on to toggle whether or not the bound hotkey just sets the Quick Slot Item or whether it sets it and then activates the quick slot item? That's pretty much what I was hoping the add-on would do for me. I haven't found any other way, as yet, to bind a hotkey to items in my inventory... other than using the single Quick Slot key.

Glad it works as intended for now. There is no API function provided by the developers to USE an item, alas. So this is the most we can do. Some people use macro keyboards/mice to press 2 buttons in tandem, but I hear conflicting reports that this is allowed or isn't. Do so at your own risk. I believe what I have in the addon is the next best thing?

Addon updated! Here're the changes:

v1.4
- Ability to turn on/off the base background for the expanded quick slot bar.
- Added a new background to each quick slot item + settings to toggle this.
- Added visual cues based on two values (warnings, default 10 and errors, default 2) + settings to toggle and set these values.
- Added smart visual cue toggle that shows visual cues only when there's something to report.
- Can now move UI with and without background enabled and by clicking and dragging all areas around the slot items.
- New border graphic added to match ability bar.
- Settings now saved accross your characters!
- Better default settings.

Please take another look at the description and let me know if something is unclear or missing, appreciate the help and hope these changes enhance your workflow!

Thanks. I figured it out too, right after I asked (of course). The quickbar was touchable with the Settings window open and the default XP bar hidden completely (different addon was affecting that).

Pretty sure macros and hotkeys are fine. They are in a bunch of addons like wykkyds, which is popular enough that im sure the devs know of it.

May be nice if someone can set up a cool autohotkey script that does something like:
press 6: sends 6 +q
7: 7 +q
etc (and set your potions to 7 to 0, or even - or =)

I can possibly do it, tho im not the best scripter, and getting used to the current style.

That would be perfect indeed!

Also want to note a minor bug/glitch. When changing areas (when it involves loading, like travel to player and wayshrine travel) the contents of the quickslots do not show up for me until i've pressed a button to select one of them. I get no UI error window though.

i just talking about macro from dedicated software keyboard/mouse; not integrated in this addon.

But the Greymind Quick slot Bar is essential for bindings. thanks again.

I love the addon, wondering if the ability to change the number of boxes will be a future option. I personally don't like screen clutter and I find I don't use all 8 slots all the time.

When binding a key to one of the slots, it doesn't show which key is bound to which slot unless you look under your controls menu. I'd like to see if you could think about adding the key that is bound to a slot instead of 1,2,3,4,5,6,7,8 being listed on your Quick Slot Bar.

Yes, despite the fact that it doesn't/can't select the item and then activate your quick slot action, this is definitely the next best thing. I've been using it and I love it. Thanks for creating the add-on.

I can see why the game company wouldn't want add-ons to be able to active the quick slot item, because then somebody would be able to create an add-on that automatically uses a healing potion when you get too low on health.... and that would be game breaking.

I do like the idea somebody else mentioned about replacing the numbers in the boxes with the key bound to the slot.

I also like the idea somebody else mentioned about being able to limit the number of boxes. Perhaps it could default to 1-3 boxes and then just automatically expand when you bind keys for the other boxes? Or maybe it could just show boxes for the quick slots that have item equipped to them. Although I think I would prefer to have a consistent display, so I'd personally prefer the first option.

Thanks for the excellent suggestions and feedback. Even if a couple of them are in the future to-do list, it really helps to hear what you guys want again, so I can prioritize and such!

I tried, but seems hard to get the actual keybindings to display on the expanded bar, will keep at it. The next big thing is to control the number of slots you guys want to show and possibly also offer different layouts. Square, vertical, etc. Any suggestions on those lines are most welcome!

I CAN write an AutoIt or AutoHotKey script, but I don't want to get the addon banned or something if this is against the terms of service. I will send ZOS a customer support ticket, find out if software/hardware/keyboard/mouse macros are ok and then provide proper guidance. I'd love to use them myself
