Based upon LFG Shout/Trade Shout for WOW

Hard keeping track of all the LFG and trade messages in city/zone trade? Filter the spam and don't miss a LFG/LFM request or a bargain trade in all the noise.

Chat Watch, filters all general chat channels looking for typical LFG and trade chat text (LFG, LFM, LF2M,WTB etc). It uses and advance scoring system to rate chat messages and work out if they are suitable. Once it detects a chat advert it will log the request and shout it out to you in the middle of the screen (or any position you choose).

Main Features

Filters all general chat channels
Scores the advert by keywords to establish its validity and type of message.
Keyword dictionary includes all common abbreviations for dungeons, instances and PVP
keyword black list to filter out gold vendors, etc.
Announces the message in the centre of the screen and in chat.
Records the last 40 messages so even if you are AFK or busy, they will not be missed. (Work in progress)
The count of number of times the player has posted a message indicates the desperation factor (Work in progress)
Places important messages (guild and whisper) in the centre of the screen
Answer message feature - Only shows alerts when you are in game. If you are in a set-up/guild/character/skill/etc screen or you are in another program (e.g. web browser) the messages will be recorded and shown when you return to playing.
Full configuration through settings menu.

I'm having the same problem. Any attempts to enable options in the settings also produces errors. It's basically unusable.

Might want to take a look at Zolan's Chat Notifications. That plays a sound based on the channel, your name, keywords, etc and has a config menu. Might be able to pull ideas / coding tips from it.

Version 0.20 includes configuration for most options. It also allows you to define custom terms to watch for.

I would love to be notified when someone sends me a tell or posts specific messages/words. Might want to take a look at Zolan's Chat Notifications. I've not yet seen a way to change an existing message but I know there are some Spam add-ons out there, so, it could be possible. Pushing it to a custom channel is feasible. I'll take a look when I get a chance but there are a number of must-do's first (e.g. config).

Is there a "/" command to pull up the config and move that cell? At this moment, mine is located in the top left-hand corner of my screen. When the message is bigger than 4 or 5 characters, most of it is not visible(as it is outside my screen). Last edited by SK1TZ0FR3N1K : 04/08/14 at 03:04 PM.
