Mute List  Popular! (More than 5000 hits)
Version: 1.0.2.2
by: Randactyl [More]
Ever get mad at someone in chat and want to put them on timeout? Have a full ignore list or think a complete ignore is too much?

A solution has arrived!

Muted players no longer show up in the chat box just as if they were ignored. There is no limit to the number of players you can mute!
Unlike a complete ignore, you can still exchange mail, trade, etc. with a muted player.

To mute someone, simply right-click their name in the chat window and select "Mute."

Slash Commands:
/mutelist - lists the names of players you have muted in chat. One player per line.
/unmute x - unmute the provided player name (replace the x with the name).

Note: @names and character names are muted separately. You may need to mute someone twice if you wish to not see what they have to say in both zone and guild, for example.

Yeah, let us devs write that we are busy, in up to 30+ addons we maintain, as you won't look at exisiting addon devs portals for sure, and only because you are not willing to just wait

Don#t get me wrong but:
Maybe just change your attitude and consider a "non existing answer an fix" got reasons, no matter what and why, and accept it. Learn lua, fix the error yourself, or be patient please.
We are not here to please your needs for free, 24/7 and watching our smartphones if someone wrote a comment on one of the 1000 threads in forums and addons.

As Randactyl wrote: We still need to work and fed our families.

Hi Randactyl,

Love the addon! Would be really cool to have a /unmute all option to clear the list once you were out of the trouble zone and since most spammers don't use the same account all the time anyway.

The [IMG] tag requires a direct link, fixed it in the quote.

Should be able to fix soon

Make sure you/minion have installed it correctly. Works fine for me and the guy I made it for.

Add him to the friendslist or ignorelist, this should show the @accountname to.
But afaik there is no general lua command to get the accountname by help of the character name, right,

only if he is in your guild?
