I am not sure who gets this request, so I'm taking a shot here...
I love the map pins and the different icons, etc., and use it constantly. I was wondering if you could add a pin for the 'Huge Sacks' (I think that's what they are called). I always have to type them in, also, for world event locations. And, what is Trespass for? |

You can create a new category by editing then lang\strings.lua file. "Trespass" is for locked doors. Which language do you use?

I just did a fresh install of eso and installed cartographer 1.0.2 with Harven's Custom Map Pins (Markers) 2.4. The drop down menu options in cartographer seems to be blank and does not show any options. Do i need to do something special with both addons installed?

First you have to create "predefines". Due to limitations the combobox items are updated on startup, only. So once you have done your predefines you must reload UI => chat command: /reloadui /edit 1: This limitation should be gone starting with addon version 1.1.0

Error
I get this error whenever I try to add a pin. I tried on npcs, crafting stations and resources. Also I cant get anything to load in the dropdown menus at all. I'm using Harven's Custom Map Pins (Markers) 2.6 and Votan's Cartographer (for Harven's Custom Map Pins) 1.1.0. Thanks for the help.

For the empty dropdowns: You have to create "predefines" first. To do this, open Map and use the keybind to place a custom pin (X). In the dialog (advanced Options) is a textbox "predefined name". Afterwards you should have this entry in the dropdowns. Does this help? /edit 1: Confirmed. Harven does not handle new pin list. I guess I have some homework for him /edit 2: And for me, too What a shame not testing this use case... /edit 3: As a work-a-round until next update: You have to place a first pin manually. Sorry

Independent Pins
Hey!
So I've been using Harven's pins with a little modification and Destinations for RP territories(using an aura) and replaced location names. I want to be able to free up destinations because I constantly have to write a new array of locations, functions to support them, and menu stuff every time there is an update. (Well, more like I have to keep integrating it.) I was wondering if I would be able to have two categories of pins, one for territories and one for location pins, and be able to control their scale and level independently from one another. That way I can keep the location pins one size while being able to resize territory auras, because RPers love disputing that stuff. I'm not an expert, but I think I can get by with some advice on implementation. |

yeah, Destination is denitively not the right addon for that Modifying Harven's Custom Pins is the better direction, because the saved variables do not get overwritten on updates. Well, to get an area/aura pin, the pin "just" needs a radius. All you have to do is adding this information to the pins stored and the dialog to edit them: Code:
