Enabling addons ingame again
If one of this depending library is missing you cannot enable the addon ingame!
So please check the dependencies of the addon ingame.
The best possible way is to install "Votans Addon List" addon which will seperate the addons from the libraries.
It will show you the dependencies at each addon line, right column, as tooltip for the "red" icon (if an addon is disabled and cannot be enabled). Scroll down to the libraries at the bottom and enable the ones needed for the addon then.

If you post comments about the addon not working anymore and haven't read and understood what is written here, it is not the addon's nor the developers fault!
Just ask if you do not understand it, but tell me you have read this text! If not I won't answer or just write "Description" as a hint.

Why do I do this
This change is needed to reduce maintaining time of all the 30+ addons I need to keep updated.
Each patch or change of a library will need me to update ALL addons even if only the libraries need an update Excahnging the librarie folders within the adodn, backing things up, testing them, building the ZIP files and write changelog here needs me to invest about 5-10 minutes for EACH addon
By removingg the libraries and let you install them as standalone "addon" I'm not forced to update the addons if the libraries change. This will save me hours of work!

Please support me with this, install the libraries as standalone once via e.g. Minion and your addons will be set to work normally again + you gain the benefit to be able to update the libraries via Minion automatically as they are updated, and all addons will recognize it automatically without having you to need to wait for an update of each/or at least one addon containing the new library files.
+ the folder size of your AddOns folder decreases a lot if the libraries only need to be "ONCE" in the folder, and not also in each subfolder of the addons.!
+ I might use the gained time to work on fixing addons or adding new features as well.


Explanations:

Standalone library
"Not included" in other addons zip files.
You need to download the zip file of the "library" and install it alone, as if it would be a whole addon.
You got the library then in your AddOns folder like AddOns\LibStub (like an addon is shown the same way, e.g. AddOns\FCOItemSaver).


You need to close the game! If you install the standalone libraries with the game started they are not recognized properly. So close the game client or restart it before/after the standlaone libraries are installed.

Benefits:
For me:
More time to play the game again and maybe maintain the addons better as I do not need to update each time if the library changes and can focus on the needed stuff.
-> So you might benefit fom it as well

For you:
You will be automatically able to update the libraries as standalone versions via Minion e.g. and are also up2date all the time.
Depending addons will recognize it automatically and need no addon update if simply the library needed an update.

Library
Libraries are code line which can be re-used in other code lines (addons e.g.). The LibAddonMenu-2.0 is for example a library which provides the standard UI and controls for the ingame settings so adodns are able to provide these settings (checkboxes, dropdown, texts, buttons) for you.

Included libraries were only included into the addons to make life easier for you, the users, in the beginning of ESO. And there was a kind of bug which did not allow standalone libraries to be used properly, which got fixed meanwhile.

Loading of libraries
The game assures via the library LibStub that libraries (included in other addons or standalone versions) will only load the newest version.
So if a standalone library is loaded with the highest/newest version, the included libraries in other addons won't be loaded again. One could even strip them from the other addons as well to fullfill the purpose of a "library": Reusable code for several other code (addons).

The game will load addons + libraries in the following order:
Unsorted loading of ALL folders which are inside the folder AddOns.
It checks the folders if there are txt files in.
It reads the txt files and check sif in there is specified if this folder is DependendOn or OptionallyDependendOn any other folder (addon, library).
If dependencies are found it will load the dependencies first, and then the addon/library which depends on them.

So as basically every library is depended on LibStub the game will load the folder LibStub (standalone library) first, or LibStub from any of the subfolders of an addon (included librray) if not found as standalone.

The most important thing is the txt file (called: manifest) which gives the information about version, api version it was build for (will be compared ingame with the game's api version and if the version in the TXt is lower than ingame the addon/library will be "disabled" in the ingame addon manager until you enable the checkbox "Allow out of date addons"!), dependencies of the addon/library.

Conclusion
If you understand this, what libraries are, how they work, read the description of addons properly: You will have no trouble in the future.

If you do not want to read, just press buttons to update/auto update everything without thinking, you do not want to understand/learn how eso addons work, but only use them: You might get in trouble in the future. But I bet there are other addons out there which fullfill your needs then (if they will not be changed to use standalone libraries as well, which might happen earlier then you think ).

This addon is not supporting the Gamepad/Controller user interface! You can use another adodn like "Disable Advanced Controller UI" to get the menus and inventory work with FCOIS, and use the controller ingame to fight etc. But the total gamepad UI for inventories won't work!

This addon is neither a copy or clone of ItemSaver. It's much more and works differently.

What's the idea of this addon?
Do you want to get a better overview inside your inventory?
Did you also destroy an item you wanted to keep for higher levels, any research or just sell at the guild store?
Do you want to mark those items somehow so they are easily recognizable in your inventories?
Do you want to get an error message if you try to destroy/deconstruct/sell/trade/equip/read/use/mail/etc. any of your "special" items?
Do you want to confirm the equipping of bindable items before it gets bound to your account?
Do you use several different armor sets and want to mark each armor, weapon & jewelry item with an icon, so you can easily see and switch those sets?
Do you want to mark complete equipped items as a special set (heal, dd, tank, off-tank, quest, etc.)?
Do you want to automatically mark ornate items to select them with 1 click at a vendor?
Do you want to automatically mark intricate items to select them with 1 click at a deconstruction panel?

  • Distinguish between unique item IDs (different enchantment, level, style, ...) and non-unique item IDs (same name = same item)
  • Mark items with several icons (About 60 different icons to choose from) -> You can use keybindings to mark/unmark the icons too

FCO ItemSaver was developed on base of ingeniousClowns Item Saver!
Meanwhile I've changed ALL the coding and added more icons, filters, features, removed some bugs and non wished behaviours, etc.

This addon eases the handling of your items inside your inventory, bank, player2player trading, mails, guild bank, vendors, guild stores, craft bag etc.
It will provide you 22 different icons (changeable - select from a long list of available icons) for your
inventory items which you can easily activate/remove by the right click mouse menu.
It will provide you with 5 selectable gear set (you choose the description and the icon!).
It will also provide you with the possibilities to mark complete sets at once, with/without weapons and with/without jewelry.

1st icon - Red lock: Intended to show this item as locked for later usage
2nd icon + 4th. icon - Green and light blue helmet: Intended to mark your current equipment (5 different gear sets are possible!) for an easier overview (especially at the repair stations)
3rd icon - Gray analysis icon: Intended to mark your next item(s) for reasearch
5th icon - Yellow coins: Mark item for later selling
6th icon - Another gear set 3
7th icon - Another gear set 4
8th icon - Another gear set 5

In addition this addon provides you 4 filters to hide/show the marked items.
1 for locked items, 1 for the 5 equipment gears, 1 for the research/deconstruction/improvement items and 1 for selling/selling at guild store and intricate items.
You are even able to split the filter buttons, so they will remember their state for each of the above mentioned panels (inventory, crafting stations, vendors, guild stores, etc.)!

Each filter got 3 states, indicated like a traffic light: ON (green), ONLY SHOW MARKED ITEMS (yellow) and OFF (red).


How to use this addon?


Icons:
Simply right-click with your mouse on an item in your inventory/crafting station/bank/guild bank/etc. and choose one of the new "FCOItemSaver" menu entries.
Each item you enable an icon for will change the right-click menu text to the appropriate "disable" afterwards and it'll change the color of the enabled entry too.

Filters:
You are able to enable/disable the filters inside your inventory/the crafting stations/the bank/the guild bank/the trade panel/the mail panel/the vendor panel/the enchanting table creation&extraction, the craftbag and others by clicking the 4 icons at the bottom of your inventory.
Green icon: Filter is enabled. Marked items are hidden
Red icon: Filter is disabled. Marked items are shown.
Yellow icon: Filter is only showing marked items

The yellow filter will always weight more then the green filter. So enabling yellow filters will show the filter's items prior to hiding the other items only filtered with green!

You could also use chat commands to enable the filters.
If you just enter /fcois into the chat you will see a list of ALL chat commands.

Known bugs
-Items having the same name and level will automatically get the icons activated/deactivated if you only enable it for one of them. As the items got no unique ID and the item names are the same too, this bug comes from the ZOS developers and I can't fix this.

There are several API functions to check if an item is filtered, is protected, is protected at a special filter panel (bank withdraw, guildbank deposit, mail send, player 2 player trade, etc.).
Please check the file "FCOIS_API.lua" within the addon folder. The functions are in there and described by their comments.

Backup & Restore of marked items
As the game sometimes changes the itemInstanceIds which the addon relies on to save your marker icons, and you are not always using the unique item IDs to save your marker icons (check ingame addon settings -> general settings -> unique item IDs)
you somehow need to have a backup and restore function for your set marker icons.
The following chat commands (and an addon settings menu entry for Backup & restore) are avilable, which you can use before a patch to backup, and after a patch to restore your set marker icons on your items.
!!! Attention !!! Guild banks:
If you want to backup/restore guild bank marker icons you must open each guild bank at least once before you do the backup/restore or the addon is not able to read the data from it. And the guild bank is not static so other users might change it as well after you had opened them.
So the addon is only using the known info at the time you have opened it!
House storages:
If you want to backup/restore your house banks you need to be in one of your houses as you do the backup/restore!
-> So please open the guild banks once and then port into your house to do a full backup/restore!

The backup/restore will use the game's API version [use this command to get it printed into the chat: /script d(GetAPIVersion()) ] to backup to/restore from.
You can specify a different API version if you like to to save it to another value/load from this specified value.
If you do not specify an API version via chat commands the game will use the current version for backup, and the current version for restore. If, e.g. after a patch, the current API version got no backuped data, the addon
automatically will try the last API version for the restore (saved data from before the patch)!

Chat commands:

<withDetails> values: true=show each backuped item in chat/false: do not show any backuped item in chat
<apiversion> value:nnnnnn=6digit game API version which you can specify to save the backup with this apiversion. If not specified the current apiversion of the game is used

If you want to backup each guild bank:
-you need to open a guild bank
-wait until all items are loaded
-then backup the dataset to the API vesrion of your choice.

Unique item IDs VS. ItemInstanceId
Each item got an itemInstanceId which is the same, even if the item differs in level, quality, enchantment etc.
And each item got a uniqueItemId which differs if the level, style, quality, enchantment are different. Sometimes even totally the same items got different unique IDs!
-> FCOIS was using the itemInstanceId since the beginning.

-Added a setting in settings -> general to enable the "unique item IDs"
This will only affect armor and weapons! All other items will still be using the itemInstanceId so you do not have to mark potions etc. several times.
Attention: To enable the unique IDs you have to set the option and do a reload of the user interface, by e.g. typing
/reloadui or using the reload UI button next to it !!!
If you just chnage the option and close the settings nothing will change until next reloadui!!!

Context menus

-Added an option to show bound set parts with another small triangle icon at the top right edge of the name. If you hover the mouse over the item the triangle moves a bit horizontally so you're easily able to see that this is a bound item in your inventory/bank.

Fixed:
-Vendor filter buttons work properly again now
-If using the addon CraftBagExtended: Jumping between Craftbags (Inventory, Mail, Vendor) will change the additional inventory context menu "flag" setings properly now (so that "Anti-Destroy" will not be used at the vendor where "Anti-Sell" should be used). This affects the right click on the flag icon as well.
-Left/Right clicking on the flag icon will close an opened context menu properly now instead of re-opening it again.


Added:
-Support for AlphaGear 2 addon.
Find an adopted AlphaGear 2 version here, which provides marking of gear sets via FCOItemSaver gear marker icons.

-Support for automatic "researchable item marking" via the standard ESO checks.
-> If an item can be researched (searching glass is shown in inventory row, by the ESO game code) with the currently logged in character the item will be marked.
Changed: Select the addon to use for automatic research marking from a dropdown list

-CraftStoreFixedAndImproved support to automatically mark researchable items for the currently logged in/other characters.

-New setting: "Do not unjunk items" at the junk inventory tab if marked item is protected.
-> Settings -> Anti-Destroy / Protection -> Scroll down to "Junk"

This one is used for Gear 1 which I call "Heiler"

Screenshots are in wrong order sadly. I activated filters for testing. I could filter out all items. The list was behaving as if all items had Gear1 and nothing else.

I assume you got other addons activated as this happened. Any reason to connect this to e.g. Inventory Insight (do you use it and got the FCOIS integration activated)?
Dont have any reason to connect it to a special addon, and yeah I always run quite a few addons. Will screenshot a list of active ones next time.

Yes. Since its the Gear 1, I can filter for "show only Gear 1" (I get all items shown) and filter for "nothing from Gear1" and list is empty.

Are you able to somehow get this related to "Being in a house before it happes"? I remember last time you also ported to your house or am I wrong?
Maybe it's some buggy code with the backupo/restore of house chest items.
Noticed it last time already in the dungeon. So I dont think its connected. Cant say whether I visited my house before porting into the dungeon.


Oh and does this only apply to the bank items, or also normal inventory items/bank deposit item (which is the inventory) before?
I noticed this last time after accessing merchant and also in my inventory view. This time I didnt double check in inventory.

Thanks. So you were using the mobile banker, as you marked an item for deconstruction.
Was it the bank's inventory (withdraw) where you have marked the item for deconstruction? Or the inventory panel (bank deposit)?
I hope it was the bank withdraw panel as this was the same panel the other user here posted his bug report about (see screenshot below).
You were not travelling to any house before?

This "old" bug is not related to FCOIS. It's more a bug related to other addons, libraries etc. You can search for it at the forums here and will find some more intel, but it's technical and I cannot explain it to you It should be fixed by now or you are using an addon using some context menu stuff but NOT using the most up2date library "LibCustomMenu" for the context menu! Check your addons, and disable all except FCOItemSaver. You shouldn't get this error message then anymore. If you do, please tell me how to rebuild it and I'll invest it.-

i started to do daily writ quests and made them all. Then i invited some guy to party and started to talk with him while opening daily rewards. Then i got gift from crown store, accepted it. Then i traded with him, and gave him some money. Then i quit party and called my banker to drop daily rewards here (maps/writs/decon stuff). You are welcome for the addon.
Unfortunately this is not that easy as I never get this bug to happen.
It depends not only on FCOIS addon but other addons as well as it seems.
So YOU need to tell ME how to rebuild this bug so I can check and fix it, or it won't get fixed.
Sorry to say.

It's not only looking in one file and changing a to b

So tell me Maggi:
Where did this happen (inventory, character, bank withdraw, guild bank, house bank, ...)?
When did it happen (which marker icon did you set as all got the same marker icon)?
Were you using the inventory flag icon to mass-mark multiple items at once (then it's not a bug but a wished behaviour!)?
More details please. Just saying "It's not working" won't help us

i can confirm, that i got "ALL items got marked when i marked ONE item"
i think addon developer will fix this bug since it is very easy. When you mark ONE item - all you bag got marked!!! just have to look item marking piece of code... GL and thx for addon

JUst posting some questions to get a margin around where it could happen and how to rebuild this:

Do you use this shown icon for one of your active marker icons? If so, which marker icon is it (a standard one like lock, a dynamic one, a gear icon, a dynamic gear icon, ..)? Or is iot one marker icon you do not use at all?

Download and enable the addon Zgoo
If the visual error happens the next time please move the mouse over one of the marker icons and type in chat
Code:
/zgoo mouse
A window will be opened showing the information about this marker icon.
There will be a list of function names and attributes of the current control below the mouse (the marker icon texture control).
One entry will be called ":GetName()". Please tell me what name is shown next to it, e.g.
"ZO_PlayerInventoryList1Row2FCOItemSaver1". You are able to copy this via CTRL+C if you press the "COPY" button at the top left of the ZGOO popup.
Scroll down and check the attribute "ttoltipText". Is it only "FCOIS" like shown on your screenshot?

Maybe it's some buggy code with the backupo/restore of house chest items.

Oh and does this only apply to the bank items, or also normal inventory items/bank deposit item (which is the inventory) before?

No, it was also in inventory view that I got the wrong mark.
Only back to normal in both inventory + merchant after the reloadui.

Nope, the problem seems to has been there since ever as I found out, or ZOs or whatever addon (PerfectPixles maybe) changed the way something works normally.
e.g. if you open the store the event_open_store fires and changes the active LibFilters-2.0 panelId to LF_VENDOR_SELL. But the vendor "buy" panel will be the default panel at normal vendors, not the sell panel.
-> This is not supported yet and I had something prepared to support it + changes of the menu buttons from buy, to sell, to buyback, to repair as well. But never implemented this further as it seems.

"Nuzimeh", the mobile vendor, got no buy panel and thus the sell panel is correct here and thus works.

I need to add something so that changing to the vendor sell menu bar button will change the active filterPanelId (from e.g. LF_INVENTORY) to LF_VENDOR_SELL properly. Workin on it + support for vendor buy, vendor buyback and vendor repair protection as well.

If they were shown wrong at the vendor sell panel only it could have to do with the above mentioned problems as well. I somehow doubt it but it could be.

I did not manage to reproduce this other effect. I finished molag kena, used the portal, summoned my merchant to sell stuff, and noticed the wrong marks.
I exited merchant window. Opened Inventory and hovered over the marks.
I did a reloadui and it fixxxed the issue.

Quite sure that I did not use the flag all options, I am also not using automatic set marking.
I would not think about that longer, unless it happens again.

Oh right, I did not get the lower part of your post. Might have been added as I was writing my text.
OK I'll test it with PerfectPixle.

Just for the detection behind it:
FCOIS checks for some scenes to be active and then for some controls to be shown/hidden most of the time. In addition, if you call a panel where an event is activated, like event guild store opened, I can pass the libFilters constant LF_GUILD_STORE_SELL etc. to the function as a "fallback" registration where we are.
But if there is no event, or addons touch the base game code and remove fragments/scene parts totally like PP does, it might be that FCOIS is not properly able to detect the scene and controls anymore.

Finding a solution
Could you give me some intel how to reproduce the error in steps so I can add a workaround for PP?
I currently tested this with 1.4.2 beta and I'm not able to reproduce it until now.

Just got it to happen with 1.4.2 too:
Using personal vendor first, then inventory, then a NPC vendor like enchanting vendor will makle the filter buttons not work at the enchanting vendor. Investigating it now.

Oh and could you test beta 1.4.2 please if the same happens with it? I thought I had fixed the vendors in the past already within version 1.4.0, as there was a similar bug at vendors.. Weird.
Fixed: Vendor sell protection works properly again and allows selling of "marked to sell" items again (if addon PerfectPixels is used)
Maybe PP changed it's way to do things again

I checked the marker icons and could not reproduce this "wrong" texture and tooltip (marker icon).
I'd say if you get this again please make a screenshot and describe what marker icon was set before, which one is shown now, how these marker icons are setup, and what automatic marks you got activated. Maybe it was automarked by automatic set part marking somehow.
Are you sure you hadn't filtered the items via the filter buttons to "only show" (yellow filter buitton) these marker for "MAG DD" and then used the inventory flag icon to mass mark them with another "STAM DD" marker icon? But this shouldn't remove the MAG DD" icon then...
Did you change something at the "MAG DD" description or texture or size or color recently before this had happened?

First of all: Do you test the beta version 1.4.2 or the current live version 1.4.1?

Yeah sounds weird. If the filter buttons at the bottom of the inventory do not work at alll this is maybe because the library LibFilters is not working sometimes but I cannot think of any addon
breaking it.
I guess you need to test this with only FCOIS enabled again and see if all works normal then.
-> Another thing I could imagine is that FCOIS was not able to detect the vendor/store somehow and then it will filter on your normal inventory and not in the vendor inventory! So you could try to remember/write down the normal inventory (press i -> normal inventory) filter button states for the 4 buttons.
Then open the vendor and if the filter buttons do not work properly remember how often you have clicked wich button, and write it down.
Then press i again and check the filter buttons at the normal inventory. Do they show the same color from before? Or did they maybe change to the color which would be if you have clicked them that often like you did at the vendor?

And what did you mean the gear marks were replaced by one that did not fit? It chose another marker icon for all gears (only one marker icon like the small "i" or something like that)?
Were all gear marker icons replaced with the same false marker icon, or was each egar marker icon replaced with another one (like gear 1 was the helmet but was replaced with the small i, gear 2 was the lock but was replaced with the recipe icon, etc.).

-> Was the marker icon which was set for the gear the "research marker icon" and did you recently enable the automatic marking for researchable items via the ESO game's research check? Or via CraftStoreFixedAndImproved?
I had this once that after enabling this automatic marks all my researchable items (gear e.g.!) was marked with the research marker icon, which is normal as the items for a new char are all researchable and the base ESO game research checks only the currently logged in char (CraftStoreFixedAndImproved does this as well if you click the extra checkbox to only check the currently logged in char).


Do you have LibFilters installed as standalone library? Or only activated through AwesomeGuildStore or AdvancedFiltters e.g.?
-> You can check your AddOns folder if there is a folder LibFilters-2.0 in there directly in the live\AddOns folder.

Okay so I went from my normal addon list and deactivated a few at a time, and could reproduce it.
Was down to like 4-8 addons, deactivated perfect pixel, azurah --> couldnt reproduce it anymore.
Reactivated azurah -> still working, reactivated PerfectPixel --> not working

So yeah, pretty sure its related to perfect pixel.

(Other addons that were still active: Addon Selector, Advanced Filters, No, tank you!, pChat, and Libraries)
