Addon/mod for Elder Scrolls Online - to keep general track of alts
*Depends On: LibAddonMenu-2.0. So please install separately*

Currently with a minimal UI, basic sorting, and at least some of the details I want to store/show.
  • This addon only knows about characters that you have logged on with after installing it.
  • It will probably not hook into changes in realtime, and just update on start, zone change, reload, and hopefully shutdown.
  • Can bind a key to show/hide the UI
  • Ability to put characters in separate lists - like to divide US/EU - or crafters from others, etc

Some examples of data shown:
  • Name/alliance/Level/Race/Vampire vs Werewolf/Bagspace
  • Skills, w/hover text for what material(s) can be used for what level
  • Equipped items
  • Research Timers/ Riding Timers
  • Double Right click to store a note per character (Don't store much data, I'm not compressing it yet)

Slashcommand:
  • /esoa
  • /ElderScrollsOfAlts

TODO:
  • If you want something that you feel is missing, add a feature or ask below, and who knows...


Probably not going to:
  • reinvent the wheel and track inventory
  • have popup timers/notifications
  • probably not redo the ui/prettify more than is


CUSTOM VIEWS
The custom view stuff is still beta, but no one has yelled at me for lost data, so it should be safe enough to play with by anyone:
  • Go to the settings and select which view you want to edit from the dropdown, "Select View".
    (1 is the HOME view, where 2 is EQUIP, etc...) (Making them names is on my todo list)
  • Select the Edit button, and the configuration for this tab will appear in the editbox
  • Then enter a tag, like {TimePlayed}
  • Then select the Test button, make sure there are no errors in the CHAT
  • Select the Save button
Or make a new view and use the tags you want using the procedure above.
(Still undocumented, beta, etc, backup your data)
/esoa showentries (to see what you can put in the view)
/esoa resetviews (to reset it back to 'normal')

Either they changed something or I never make male characters...
Anyhow, hopefully that fixed it without introducing more issues, as right now my testing is minimal

Hopefully i fixed the names and column lengths for you, and all is okay still.

If anyone playing in another languages sees an issue, tell me, and send the companion bit of the savedvariables if you can, so i can see it.

V47 shows all the companions.
I did have to reset all the views to get them to show.
After that, for some reason, it had 5 companion columns. I edited out the 5th.

The field for the 4th companion is 1/2 the length of the first 3.
First 3 are 15 chars each and the 4th one is 7.
For some reason the last character or last 2 characters are not part of the name.
Some end in ^ others end in ^F
Before I reset the views Bastian's name ended in ^M

Thanks for working on this.
It is much appreciated.

So far there are no errors being thrown and the other tabs seem fine.

Also, just to make sure that you are doing this.. (to avoid confusion)
You need to either reset the views, or just add the field individually,
ie: {Companion_1_name} {Companion_2_name} {Companion_3_name} {Companion_4_name}
... etc... to the view you want it to show in.

Didn't appear to break anything.
Neither of the HI companions showed up, though.
I even summoned each one then did a UI reload.
If you have the time, and can find your saved variables directory and the file "ElderScrollsOfAlts.lua" in it, i want to verify they are being saved at least?

Like in: C:\Users\<YOUR USERNAME>\Documents\Elder Scrolls Online\live\SavedVariables

for a section like this? that might have the new companions in it? you can search by the name of a new companion?

Looks like he updated it the day after you said that. Glad to see he is still active. Slowly but surely, Echo has improved little aspects of this addon while fixing the the bugs along the way.
