Main functionnality :

Show/hide your helmet automatically while in situations :
- in combat,
- weapons in/out,
- mounted,
- in city,
- in Cyrodiil,
- while crafting,
- and/or manually with a keystroke;
- you define the default value to show/hide your helmet.

Automatic mode can be disabled to keep only manual mode.


With v2.0+, you can add optionnal features you find in optional files section, as :
- Helmet FOV


Languages : EN, FR, DE, ES

Known problems (and the reason for beta-addon):
- By clicking with left button, unsheathe your weapon but do not show your helm in "Weapon Mode"; I don't already found how to catch this event
- Some loot (like wood or cloth or water) or special interaction steathe your weapon but don't hide your helm in "Weapon Mode"; the cause is a bad value passed in ESO's event (wait for a fix)

This Addon is one of my favorites.

It worked fine until update 1.6. Now it makes the helm invisible when leaving combat and visible again moments later.

Since I noticed you kept doing addons up until January, can I ask for you to fix this one, please!

I like Helm Control so much that not having it changes the immersion feel of the game. It just isn't the same thing.

Sorry to bother you again but after updating the addon I'm still having the same issue.

This are my settings as they are in SavedVariables folder file:
["CombatMode"] = true,
["DefaultHelm"] = false,
["CityMode"] = false,
["EmoteMode"] = false,
["CraftMode"] = false,
["HorseMode"] = false,
["WeaponsMode"] = true,
["SteatheMode"] = true,
["version"] = 1,

To better ilustrate here's a video I frap'ed: http://youtu.be/WgnflvgR0nw

In this video I do the following actions:
- "swap weapon" while having helmet on
- "swap weapon" again
- sheathe weapon

as you can see the helmet hides as it did before update 1.6 but now it reverts to show after a few seconds.

Not sure if this helps, but let me say that if it is too much trouble the simple fact that you tried was good enough for me.

with 1.6, the event "EVENT_ACTIVE_WEAPON_PAIR_CHANGED" is triggered often, even if the weapons are not swapped. That's the problem!

I have a feature request and I hope you are willing to implement it. I would highly appreciate it.

I am dreaming of an option to show the helmet in Cyrodiil and outside of it, hiding the helmet.

This has nothing to do with roleplay... So it is the other obvious reason.

Hey Khrill,

thank you for implementing the Cyrodiil option. However, it appears that in Cyrodiil caves the helmet is not shown. I am not sure yet, if it was just that particular cave or if that applies to all of them. I will edit this entry later when I found it out.

So why is the helmet addon scaling with the UI options?

Could this be fixed? I know the settings for UI scaling is fubar right now, they won't save atm. But the helmet addon shouldn't really be scaling off the UI, but the screen resolution?

Fixed in next update, but with a reload ui after changing scale, it's fine
