Disabling gamepad UI & fixed compass, lockpicking.

Features:
  • NEW Use gamepad action bar (together with attribute bars) instead of keyboard.
  • NEW Added new shoulder buttons to the main menu to easily switch between different categories. Currently you can't navigate to the crown store, however, because it messes with the button mapping. You also can't navigate to any categories added by other addons.
  • NEW Use gamepad buttons everywhere, including the main menu, dialogs, lore books...etc
  • Enable direct switch between keyboard-UI and gamepad-UI without menu settings.
  • Enable to control lockpick UI with vibration by gamepad.
  • Hide gamepad UI and show keyboard UI inspite of using gamepad.
  • Moveable compass position.
  • Changeable compass size(icon, width, height, label).
  • Ready for translate(JP, EN, DE available).

Improvements:
  • Fixed issue with world map centered on player when first opened

  • Fixed issue with lockpicking being forced into gamepad mode even when using keyboard mode.
  • Fixed issue about UI freeze after interacted at workbench.
  • Fixed issue about strange compass position by disabling gamepad UI.

Known Issues:
  • Guild masters may see error messages when an application to join your guild is received. Since I'm not a guild master I can't debug this, so if you see the error message please copy it down and paste it in the comments so I can take a look at it.
  • Sprinting works like a toggle. In regular keyboard mode you hold down SHIFT to sprint, but in gamepad mode it changes to be press once for sprint and press again to stop. This doesn't seem like something that's fixable.
  • You can't dodge roll with keyboard while in gamepad mode. This also doesn't seem like something that's fixable.

breaks lockpicking addon

I love this addon and can't play without it.

However it breaks the FCO lockpick addon, any chance you can look at this please?

On screen quest

The quest are not lining up correctly. Is there a fix for that? Great job man. With the new steam controller config I don't need to touch the keyboard and mouse at all. Now I can playhon my couch in comfort.

It's a great mod, but it would be great if to see the controller buttons actions when you run around. Seeing "Press E" when you run around with the controller is confusing.

I wanted to Thank you for updating this add on. Couple known issues I have ran across today. The Dolgubon's lazy writ crafter auto open containers seems to loop constantly and doesnt open containers. Also can we get account wide settings versus just having to do it per toon having 18 toons and making changes is a pain. Can we get the Font a bigger setting than 11? Seeing how to open containers with small writing is hard to see. Also Easy Travel addon no longer works since you updated. If you need a beta tester let me know Me and my wife both play with controller.

Thanks for the bug reports, too. If you or anyone else find any other ones just post in the comments like you did. It would also be helpful for each bug to describe: what is wrong, any error messages you got, and how to reproduce it.
As for the features I've logged them down since they're relatively simple ideas, but will probably only get to them after looking around at the bugs. My time is also somewhat limited so this may take some time (or not...you never know).

Also thanks for offering to beta test! I'll be sure to send you a forum message with beta versions

Great add-on!

With the new gamepad button prompts, this add-on is the perfect mix of controller and kb+m. Thanks for all the hard work.

This is a great addon, thank you. I have carpel tunnel and a bit of arthritis so I use a gamepad when I can, so I really appreciate your addon. Picking up error when using the toggle key after last update, but works fine when using settings.

amazing add on, been using it for sometime now! if possible, i do like the combat text font for pc over the ui that is used for console, could we see that change come in the future? the current one still used is the console ui combat text where the text is bigger and more normal i guess you could say, where the pc combat text ui is more like compact xD

Outfit Station positioning

Hi again, currently a bug is that our character model is standing off center in gamepad mode and paint boxes and outfit selection is overlapping character, essentially meaning we cannot see some changes trying to be made indirectly. thanks again for this amazing add on xD

Is it possible to navigate through the menues with the gamepad? I mean things like changing the equip or consuming items. If not: that would be insane!

When toggling Game Pad Mode, a Lua error is presented. I tried doing some debugging and found this may be a race condition.

In "src/ADCUI_SettingsOverrides.lua" -> "ADCUI:setGamepadUISettings()" & "ADCUI:setKeyboardUISettings()", during the call stack the button definitions are not what is expected within the Table "PLAYER_INVENTORY.bankWithdrawTabKeybindButtonGroup". During execution of these functions, triggered by the "EVENT_GAMEPAD_PREFERRED_MODE_CHANGED" event, the table key "3" does not exist. If you log the Table, you find that only "alignment" and "1" keys exist.

Just those lines referencing "bankWithdrawTabKeybindButtonGroup[3]" return NIL values, so commenting them out makes everything function without error.

I have disabled the addons I know of that alter this screen, such as Roomba, and Stack Traceback (think it just reacts to events, no UI changes), and found no difference.

-Edit:

After further review, I have found the addon causing the problem, "Craft Bag Extended". Below is a link to the section of code that alters the button group, resulting in the Table not containing the expected Indexes.
