BountyTimer  Popular! (More than 5000 hits)
Version: 1.4.2
by: ShadowMau [More]
BountyTimer

A simple box that opens when you have a bounty that shows the amount of bounty, and a timer showing how long it will take for your bounty to clear. BountyTimer will continue to show if you are inside player housing (something the in-game meter does not do and was the inspiration of this addon).

Requires - LibAddonMenu-2.0

Features:
  • NEW: Background color and alpha settings.
  • Change fonts
  • Adjustable font size
  • BountyTimer is movable by selecting the option in the settings panel. Default is not movable.
  • Red clock denotes Kill on Sight. Now with icons!
  • You can now select a texture icon to surround the Kill on Sight clock. Currently the options are none, skulls, knife, or dagger.
  • BountyTimer will suppress the in-game bounty meter by default. It can be turned back on in the settings.

Potential Future Features:
  • Place a message in the comments if you have a suggestion for more texture icons. If possible, include the actual file name of the texture (ex: /esoui/art/icons/crafting_skeleton_skull.dds).

Check out my other addons listed in the top box.
1.4.2 (05-27-2021)
  • Fixed the clock text not toggling based on KOS or not KOS. It was just staying in the KOS color. Thank you Mythril89 for tipping me off to the problem.

1.4.1 (04-29-2021)
  • Fix for error on PTS due to changes in how controls are managed (Thank you LoneStar2911)

1.4.0 (03-29-2021)
  • Added in a background to make the bounty timer easier to see.
  • Added in the ability to adjust the background color and alpha.
  • Added in a menu setting to toggle the window on so the user can move location, check size, and adjust background.
  • Dynamically adjust the window size based on the chosen options (font, size, icons)

1.3.0 (2021-03-10)
  • Added in ability to change fonts
  • API to 100034 "Flames of Ambition"

1.2.1 (2021-01-30)
  • Minor code improvements.

1.1.2 (2020-11-03)
  • API bump to Markarth

1.1.1 (2020-09-19)
  • Added more icon options for Kill On Sight. It can now be changed in the addon's setup menu.

1.1.0 (2020-08-26)
  • API Bump to 100032 "Greymoor".
  • Split the countdown loop from the in-game infamy HUD close command (It use to send a close comand to close the infamy HUD every second if it need to or not).
  • Added a check to the countdown loop for if we need to unhide the addon's bounty window. (It use to send the unhide command for the window every second).
  • Now the only thing refreshed every second is the amount of bounty and the remaining time.
  • Every time an interaction element is opened (bank, inventory, chat window, mail, merchant, settings, etc) the in-game infamy HUD automatically displays again, even if it was previously hidden. The in-game infamy HUD close command is now linked to an event that triggers when those elements close.
  • Added in some skulls to the Kill On Sight in addition to the red text. In the future, the KOS icons may become user-set.

1.0.1 (2020-07-20)
* API bump to fix typo that made addon outdated.

Thank you for your question.

Yes. Somewhere along the line something got broken. I have posted an update.

If you look at the screenshots, I originally designed it so the clock text is red when you are a Kill On Sight fugitive and then white when your infamy level is disreputable or notorious. According to The Unofficial Elder Scrolls Pages, "There appears to be no difference in guard and citizen behavior between Disreputable and Notorious." Of course the whole box disappears when you are Upstanding.

If there is enough interest, I could also include an indicator between Disreputable and Notorious. However, that seemed a little pointless. I suppose I could also develop a system where the background color also changes. If there is interest in that, let me know and I will work on implementing that in the next release.

If there are other features or ideas people have, please ask.
i also like the idea of how the background will change color according to infamy lvl.

I managed to manually change font color to white so text would fit more closely to default UI, but im, honestly, lua dumb do do anything advanced.
Ive been messing with lua for days now trying to add font shadow/outline without luck.

Really loving the addon as im playing on joypad and default Bounty icon size is unnecessary oversized since there is no UI scale when using joypad and this addon so nicely fix that issue.
Thank you very much. I have also been playing around with fonts. So far, I have not figured out how the font shadow/outline work. I can change the font so that is supposed to be outline and/or shadow, but it never looks any different.

A possible solution could be allowing users to adjust the background of the window I create to display the bounty information. I will look into that and keep trying to learn if I can do what you want through fonts.

Since there are no comments yet:
I've been using this for some time and this is great and accurate addon. Worked well before and after I got that thieves guild passive, unlike some other addon.
