Ravalox' Quest Tracker provides A more intuitive QUEST TRACKER than the in-game provided tracker interface. (see screenshots) The interface can be left on the screen or hidden via settings or /slash commands.

Features:
  • Use the ZOS Tracker key-bind to cycle through quests (default "T")
  • Can switch between the game's tracker and Ravalox' Tracker in the settings menu
  • Option to automatically hide Ravalox' tracker when in combat
  • Manual or automatic window re-sizing (by width, height or both)
  • Backdrop color and texture can be disabled or changed
  • Background and drag bar can be "faded" to become any level of transparent
  • Window can be locked or unlocked via /slash command, settings menu, or lock icon
  • Can optionally display the number of open quests in each Category or Zone
  • Can optionally display and sort by the level of the quest
  • Quest Tooltips can be enabled or disabled in the settings menu
  • Optionally show Quest Tooltips when a quest is accepted
  • Option to display a chat alert when accepting a quest. With or without quest details
  • Save settings either account-wide or by character

How to use:
  • Lock icon will allow for the UI to be dragged around the screen (by dragging the bar at the top of the UI) when unlocked. (Lock icon can be hidden via the settings menu)
  • If the tooltips option is selected, a tooltip window will appear when hovering over a quest.
  • Right click on a quest to display quest management options. (Share , Abandon, or show on map)
  • Click on the Category to expand or collapse the list.
  • Additional options for automatically collapsing Categories, Quests or both
  • Options for showing all quests at all times or show all quests in the currently selected category at login

Slash Commands:
  • /qt or/qt help Display the QuestTracker /slash command help
  • /qth Toggle the Questtracker UI on or off on the fly.
  • /qtl Toggle the QuestTracker UI lock on or off on the fly.
  • /qta Toggle show/hide Categories and Quest entries on the fly.
  • /qts Show and Expand all Quests only in the Selected Category.
  • /questracker or /qt settings ... Directly access the settings menu.

* Added option to chat alert to include quest details

* Changed Saved Variables to account-wide

Known Issues: v3.1.1.0

None.

3.0.0.2
Complete re-write of the addon. The re-written addon has the look and feel of the old version but the mechanics work much smoother and the code is optimized.
Migrated Addon to Ravalox' addon catalog.

2.3.5.2
Updated to support ESO 2.2.4

2.3.5.1
Updated to correct "T" key quest cycle behaviour. (with thanks to Circonian for his assistance!)
Completed quest steps (for quests with mutliple steps showing) will now be greyed out)

Known Issues:
* QT UI flashes on the screen during questgiver conversations (and assorted other times).
* Under certain circumstances, Crafting quests (certification and writs) cannot be selected
by mouse. They can still be cycled by "T" key or Journal menu.

I have a partial fix in the works for the flashing issue. Circonian had written a modification that corrects the flashing but the QT UI scrambles when the Journal menu is used to change quests or a new quest is added. I've put in additional code that corrects this but causes an additional update issue. (therefore this fix is a WIP)

Since the Cycling of the Crafting Writs is a sporadic issue (it's affecting only two of my characters on my client, so ... odd.) I will work towards a solution, but it will not be as high a priority. :-)

2.3.4.0
Corrected code to work with ZOS changes to internal quest tracker. (They are preparing for Gamepad and Keyboard integration causing changes to ZOS Quest source code.)

2.3.3.3
This update is to support ESOTU 2.1 (API 1.7)
**NOTE: This addon is currently broken. Additional code needs to change to make it compatible with ZOS' quest tracker API changes.

2.3.3.2
This update (2.3.3.2) only updates supporting documentation to reflect the transition from Wykkyd to Ravalox and Balkoth under the name of Exodus Code Group. The LUA addon/library code has not been changed.

Calia I did not say that here you are not just adding a comment only in the case of some criticism of you, so that no one in your team responds to many comments (reports or suggestions for improvement). I know a lot of work in real life but sometimes it looks like it's projects addons are abandoned projects, sorry if I accidentally touched eventually offended

Just renamed a few chars to welcome them to the family name and noticed that your addon is still using this outdated method of SavedVariable saving, unfortunately.

Old/outdated since years/not rename save - Character name:
Code:
ZO_SavedVars:New
New/rename save - Character ID:
ZO_SavedVars:NewCharacterId
-> https://wiki.esoui.com/AddOn_Quick_Q...cal_machine.3F

Both got the same parameters so you just need to exchange the function name!

Should be also easy to migrate the settings, here is an example function how to get the character IDs and names so you can check old SV table and migrate to the new one ONCE:
Lua Code:
  1. --Function to get all characters of the account, ID and name.
  2. --Returns a table with 2 possible variants, either the character ID is key and the name is the value,
  3. --or vice versa.
  4. --Parameter boolean, keyIsCharName:
  5. -->True: the key of the returned table is the character name
  6. -->False: the key of the returned table is the unique cahracter ID (standard)
  7. local function getCharactersOfAccount(keyIsCharName)
  8.     keyIsCharName = keyIsCharName or false
  9.     local charactersOfAccount
  10.     --Check all the characters of the account
  11.     for i = 1, GetNumCharacters() do
  12.         local name, _, _, _, _, _, characterId = GetCharacterInfo(i)
  13.         local charName = zo_strformat(SI_UNIT_NAME, name)
  14.         if characterId ~= nil and charName ~= "" then
  15.             if charactersOfAccount == nil then charactersOfAccount = {} end
  16.             if keyIsCharName then
  17.                 charactersOfAccount[charName]   = characterId
  18.             else
  19.                 charactersOfAccount[characterId]= charName
  20.             end
  21.         end
  22.     end
  23.     return charactersOfAccount
  24. end

Thank you very very much Calia !
but the authors in the team is quite a lot but no response from them to comments from users so it would probably be good when the team joined another member who would be more active

settings not saving

with the 10/21 update, I set the background to clear, reposition the window and lock it, but when I go to a different character or logoff. It is back the way it was.
Is there something I am not doing?
Thank you (great addon by the way)

such a smaller request
you could add features that included the Multi-Quest Tracker RE addon, so you can watch multiple quests at once. The Multi-Quest Tracker RE looks like it's abandoned

No, I made a comment about that on 5/19/19 at 11:36am that you can find in the comments.

The addon really needs a way to choose whether or not we want it to always be "on top"; a way to prioritize whether it's always in the foreground or the background.

But besides that, there are several other things that need fixing/tweaking still, too. For example, quest hints being shown like they are in the default quest log.

As to this, I was single handedly maintaining ALL the Wykkyd addons (20+) as well as as handful of others, for over 2 years; I work on some major ones.

I also work full-time in corporate IT as a government defense contractor. I'm also mom/stepmom to teenagers. Life has also been kicking me in the ass over the past year or so, and I do this for free, because I enjoy it, in the spare time that I have, lol. It's been especially nuts lately as we're closing on our house (FINALLY!) this week.

I've got a Discord server set up for folks to catch up with me as well.

I see a lot of unanswered posts. Are there any plans to fix bugs or improve the addon any time soon? Or is this an "as-is" addon with no support from the authors? Sincere question.
I know people have lives, and that's great, real life comes first. But any kind of response every now and then would be great. Some communication for such a widely used addon is really needed. There hasn't been anything from any of the authors since April 28th. Almost 2 months ago.

Thank you for the addon.

Edit/Update: Got an error when I tried to show the default quest tracker.

Auto-hide during dialogues

Great addon so far but...

Feature request: Option to auto-hide questtracker during dialogue screens

Keep up the good work.
