  • added "Auto-unlock" wayshrines

This is only a plugin to allow BeamMeUp to work in gamepad mode.
It adds a menu for the Teleport list to the gamepad's map Options(Y) menu.
Additionally, when "All" is selected, each zone with teleport options will have the number of players in that zone appended to the name under Locations

A note on favorites:
  • your current BMU favorites will be used
  • however, favorites are handled differently. There is no limit to the number.
  • any favorites added or removed with this plugin will not be recognized by BMU.
  • favorite status is toggleable in each entry's options.
  • at the bottom of each entry's options, there is an option to manage all favorites. That is where you can remove any player or zone from the list of favorites.


Using Auto-unlock:
  • If there are any locked wayshrines, an option will be availible with the filer options of the selected entry called "Automatic discovery of wayshrines".
  • If there are any locked wayshrines in the zone the player is currently in, there will be an option in the "Automatic discovery of wayshrines" dialogue to unlock wayshrines in the current zone.
  • Other unlock options, "Shuffle randomly", "By ratio of undiscovered wayshrines", "By number of players", in all zones with locked wayshrines.

When "Auto-unlock" is started, a notification will be added to the gamepad's Notifications.
The notification will allow you to cancel auto unlock or, continue it if teleporting was interrupted.

NOTE:
Not all BeamMeUp features are currently available.
Although this is a work-in-progress, improvements and changes will not be made often.
However, I will work on fixes to reported issues as soon as I can.

On travel, the map's list header was not being disabled, which kept it's left/right keybinds active.

Other issue i noticed is ALL list not alphabetical , sometimes zones like Malabal Tor for example are missing ? When i click options and favourites shows options menu but its blank ?

Port to house ?

Hello,

am using beameup mod with gamepad plug/port to friends house. Issue is when i scroll down click port to friends house says sleek creek house, this is his primary residence. I click on that beams me to empty house as through am in preview mode ??

If I go to social menu and visit my friends primary residence works fine.

I also messaged someone from ZOS about it. Mostly, to get some insight into what happened. Since neither keybind was custom, why did one error on a check that is meant to check against duplicate keybinds?
Seams like an API bug to me.

Great to hear that. I guess that could be the same error kalitva mentioned earlier without any further explanation.

I think I found the issue. It appears that teleporting did not close the map properly. So the map's category list header, that one where you can use the shoulder buttons to change "tabs", was not deactivating. That would cause those keybinds to stay registered. Now, when I update the header, if the map is not showing, the header is deactivated.

I hope this fixes the issue. I checked against the registered keybindGroups before and after the change. After the change the keybinds were gone on start travel, before, they stayed there unless I closed the map by other means.

Error when unlocking new skills

Hello, as an avid gamepad user I love your addons!
BMU is of course a must-have and this addition is fantastic.

That said, I have been experiencing a weird LUA error - for months now - at what at the time I thought was random, and there were never any AddOns mentioned in the message (see below). It only occurs when unlocking new skills but not always. However, after spending many hours the past two days doing all sorts of troubleshooting and even testing on a clean install, I have pinned it down to the BMU Gamepad Plugin.

I don't know why, I don't know how, but I know how to - with a 99% reliability - trigger the error below.
  1. Be in Gamepad mode (though it seems irrelevant as long as it is loaded)
  2. Log in with a character
  3. Fast travel using this plugin (I traveled between Grahtwood (Snugpod, outside) and Blackwood (Pilgrim's Rest, outside), always to another zone than I was in.)
  4. Press K to open skills menu (though using gamepad triggers it too)
  5. Go into a skill tree
  6. Unlock a new skill/morph
  7. Error appears
  8. ReloadUI is the only fix. If you fast travel via this plugin again after this, the trigger starts anew.

This would work 99% of the time to trigger the error. Always on unlocking new skills.
No idea why as that seems unrelated but I'm not good with LUA code so maybe this will be of help to you to pin this down. As of now I have to disable it so I don't have to constantly reload.

As said, the error is always the same. No changes, even the code on top is identical each time. And it does not *seem* to point to an Addon, but after so much troubleshooting and ruling out every other single factor, this is the only factor that seems to trigger it.

I've searched extensively and while I have found people with the same issue, there was never a solution.
One such instance was on the ESOUI forums as well from November 2023.
You'll note it is the same exact error code too.
