 version 1.4.6 creates Endless log when turned off

Howdy,
I have trails and dungeons enabled, auto logging on, normal with confirmation on, endless archive off.
I expected no log for endless archives to be recorded.
Instead, I am getting logs for endless archives runs, with no prompt.

I am running into an issue where the game thinks i have things researched that i actually dont...
Same problem here. Showing known traits as needing research, and no marks for unknown traits. An off-by-one sort of error? Happy to provide more data points if needed.
