Re: Request

Hey ArtOfShred, had a request for LUIE. Any chance you can add an additional Quick Slot bar like AUI? It's one of the only reasons I keep both AUI and LUIE installed. But AUI is a resource hog, even with most all settings off. I also realize you have a lot of other projects for this addon, but thought I'd ask! Thanks again for...

Anyone know if its abandoned? We haven't heard anything from the author/maintainer in close to two months now.

No idea what's going on. Everything always looks fine in the game until I log out. But then only if you log out in a VR zone (at least that was my interpretation)? Seems that way.

Timer issues are back with 1 character. I log him in (fresh PL_Timers.lua), do a /script to dump the timer data. I see correct numbers duration = 2211840 remaining = 1506508 timerstamp = 1410484183 I then log out, and I see this in the saved variables for the same entry. duration = 2764800 remaining = 2059422 timersta...

Well.... I actually haven't seen any bad timers in a couple of days now. I tried logging in and out (back to the character screen and sometimes all the way out) of several different characters to see if I could somehow trigger this bug, but no luck I even went as far as trying the checklist of items you suggested with a clean s...

Haven't had much time to do some testing, but I'll will do it soon! Meanwhile..while looking over your code, I noticed this... function PL_Timers:Initialise() self:InitialisePools() self.timerData = {} self.activeCharacter = false self.updates = 0 self.timerData = {} self.currentAlarms = {} self.slotUsa...

Quick question, I'll try all this later tonight or tomorrow. Is there a way to redirect output of a script to a text file instead of the chat window?

OK... Logged on to Character X, timers all looked correct. Remember, the problem is always with what other characters see on the timers. A character always sees their timers correctly. Logged over to Character Y. Character X's timers were off. (both characters are in a VR Zone BTW). I open up the saved variables in Notepa...

Yeah, I usually have the file open in Notepad++ and I am getting the notification that its been updated (I reload it) and the values had not changed. I'll watch for when it happens again and check the timerdata.

Well the function is returning correct values. Here's the scenario again. I log on Character Y in Non-VR zone. His own timers are fine, but I'm seeing inflated timers for Character X who is in a VR Zone. I log out Character Y and log on to Character X. All timers look fine. When I open the saved variables while Character X i...

Maybe this will help you. Looking at the saved variables...there's one difference. Character in VR Zone -> Moved to non-VR Zone duration = 691200 -> duration = 552960 So there's why I'm seeing the difference in the timers. Is the GetSmithingResearchLineTraitTimes() function bugged?

Posted By: Rashy
Yeah, the bug has popped up again... One character in a non-VR zone and the other in a VR zone. GetTimeStamp() is returning the similar values for both characters. Verified that the saved variables are recording the same value seen on the screen. I'm puzzled.

If you like, try this slash cmd on the two characters in the three possible situations (one non-veteran, one veteran in VR area and one veteran in non-VR area) /script d(IsUnitUsingVeteranDifficulty("player"),GetTimeStamp()) Well, oddly enough I not seeing the issue with the timers again and haven't been able to re-create i...

Woo! Figured out the bug! Looks like the issue is server side. The two characters I use the timers on are now doing the VR content. My characters are EP, and now I'm running the VR content in the DC area. (I'm on the NA Servers) Example... Character X is in Glenumbra, their timers look fine. Other characters' timers look...

Yeah, I have no idea what happened, but I just re-enabled being able to see other character's timers and they're all correct now. My system clocks were and are fine. (I even checked my system event logs) The only thing that I can remotely think might have had an impact was I respec'd Character Y yesterday morning while 3 items...

Noticed a bug. I'm not sure why I hadn't noticed this sooner, but it appears it may to be tied to the passive research abilities. Here's an example. I have a woodworker (lets call him Character X) with 3/3 Carpentry (reduce research time by 20%) that is researching the 8th trait for Bows. I see my timers just fine when I'm logg...

Also... I'd be willing to look the code over and TRY to fix any existing bugs and/or make modifications to keep it up-to-date with the current API. My specialty is in other programming languages and haven't ever worked with LUA code is the issue though. Can anyone suggest issues with the addon that need fixing? bugs?

Assuming this add-on is not supported any longer? I think the author has stopped supporting this addon. it is nearly one month ago that the Update 3 has been come and nothing happend to this addon. Yeah, I've been suspecting this is dead. I just wish we'd get some word from the Corodius (current 'author') that picked it up a...
