The simple fix is to go into the manifest file (SkyShards.txt), and remove CustomCompassPins from the dependencies line.
From this:
## DependsOn: LibStub LibMapPing LibGPS LibAddonMenu-2.0 LibMapPins-1.0 CustomCompassPins
To this:
## DependsOn: LibStub LibMapPing LibGPS LibAddonMenu-2.0 LibMapPins-1.0
