I assume it was just an oversight, but it does not look like the Friend Status message option was added to your Saved Variables as it does not retain the setting between UI Reloads.

I dragged the timer to the bottom of the screen, where I have other bars. Then I decided I'd like to try it somewhere else and found I could no longer drag it.
After quitting ESO I edited the saved variables file and reset the position to the default from the code. When I restarted ESO I could again drag the timer (got by using /e...

you probably already have this on your list, but: it'd be great to automatically hide when a menu is open, and show again (if appropriate) when back to the world.

Also: I'd like to request an in-game settings menu, rather than only chat commands. :)
You can use the /ebt.hide
The test will not go away until the auto hide time is passed, the default for the test is 3 min cooldown so 5x is 15 min, then it will auto hide if your Auto Hid...

This could be caused by another addon that hooks into the message handlers as you don't know which addon eso will load up first
I noticed that if you use pChat and have "Player status changed" Chat format handler on it could cause it to happen, also some ui mods that add their own chat message could also cause it. Try turning that...

Thanks for all the reports. ZOS is aware and looking into a fix, since it happened due to a change they made in the latest update.
I'll check if there is some easy workaround that can be made in LAM, but otherwise I'll just wait for the game to correct the issue.
