Same problem here. No other addons at all, BGM reinstalled, still visual bug:

As a workaround I suggest to select 5 visible slots in options. The scrolling bar on the right disappear and the visual glitch is gone.

Addons cannot influence the compass cause this is restricted by API. But I'l check it.

Do you also use pChat? I had a person who said the icon didn't work when pChat was enabled, but we couldn't figure out what exactly was wrong because it has worked with pChat for everyone else so far.
