It is not on a timer, it's on a daily reset at 6 AM UTC.
Also, you can only grab it once per day per account, no matter how many characters are eligible.

Yep, this problem exists. Unfortunately, the API returns a wrong parent map. This is a mistake of ZOS developers. We dont plan to handle such exceptions, so sorry for you.

Mail Looting is causing me to be booted out of the game, and I cannot for the life of me find how to disable it.
Is it the same as Quest Reward looting?
The bug is that if your backpack is full, the mail loot will go into a death spiral of trying to loot, and with no way to stop it, you will get kicked from the server with a warn...

I use Collection Bars to quickly unsummon him when I do stuff he doesn't like. Even better than automatic tbh.
Totally don't get how that even possibly COULD be better than automatic when the problem is accidental/compulsive actions (i.e., doing something BEFORE realizing it'd cause the companion to react).
