I set them up as widgets. They display the icon, but no progress bar.
Settings>Bandits UI>Buffs>Widgets>Manage widgets>Options>Progress bar>ON
When I add 3-4 widgets and manage, it shows many buffs I did not add. I reset buffs, same result.

When I add the abilityID to custom buffs it does not display them.
Because it is buffs, not ability panel. You can use widgets for that.

Easiest way to add custom buff is left click on it in buffs panel (there is tooltip for all of them).

Nothing shows when Looking at the dropdown menu. If I choose one, quest icons are not visible on compadd or map.

Ye, ZOS changed shadow ability id on PTS and then again on Live. I fixed it again in the latest update.

Works perfect. Try to switch "Progress bar" OFF/ON. Was fixed bug with incorrect showing current option state in menu.
Exited game, deleted .lua in savedvariables.
There is "Buffs reset" button for that.

Something's off with merciless resolve cooldown display, magicka grim focus morph. Worked fine before. Latest update shows proc icon when it's not ready or has aleady been fired. Sometimes the count down will continue even though it's expired.
