I can edit out the \ but could you try to copy the text from the game and paste it into a program in such a way that it doesn't add that? Unless you got creative and added it to saved variables.
Sorry, I use Notebook 2018 to take copy during play, then edit its saved variable file offline. I stripped out the \n added between lines...

As I move the reticle across the map I get more errors. Once I've managed to travel to the zone, subsequent map views for the zone are no problem.
