I haven't tested it myself, but a poster in another thread about the API changes says this still works. Almost all the changes were concerning combat information, which the minimap doesn't deal with.
Main thing I see that needs to be fixed is this issues with symbols on the main map after using the minimap as noted already.

I'm not in town right now, so will not be able to update for the new API update until I get home.
There are a couple more items I will get around to adding, but I am not seeing much more information that would be appropriate for a toolbar.
Also plan on touching up the toolbar to have a real spacer character and keep the modules...

Sorry, think I accidentally deleted a copy of the attached readme file.
/ms will display the settings window and allow you to configure it to how you want.
I will try to add alliance points. Shouldn't be too difficult now since I have the core functionality down.
