I've noticed that FTC is showing that I've gained the buff "Might of the Guild" after casting Fire Rune in the mage guild skill tree. However, I do not have any points spent there. The buff does not show when I cast Structured Entropy, so it might be limited to Fire Rune.
When FTC shows the buff, there is nothing in the character...

I noticed that an item I did not yet train was showing up as researched. It could be because the item was a starter item. Here's the image:
