[Request] Booklist/checklist for nonlore books

Theres A LOT of books in the game. and a lot aren't lore books and don't seem to get tracked.
i would like to read them and i imagine many others as well. but they appear repeatedly. and you might now always remember immediately that you read that one.

So what i was hoping to find was a mod with a checklist. and maybe some indication at the bottom of the screen when reading the book that you've already read that one. but i could find no such mod. therefor the request :P

so basically. can someone create a mod that:
  • Has a list of all books with checkmarks next to them if you read it.
  • has a indicator if you read the book or not at the bottom of the screen (next to the exit button for instance)

Thanks in advance if someone creates this :)

Agreed this would be nice.

I was going to do it manually until I saw there about 2.3k books/notes total

Basically something like Iriel's Bookworm addon for WoW? I'd love that too. :)

According to esohead there were that many.

Here is a website I found if you wanna manually track it. I'm just adding it to a word document:

http://www.imperial-library.info/boo...ne/by-category

About ~700 books

I'll try to come up with something. Main thing is I need to learn how to use sliders in windows.

I just wanted to make a list in a txt file using that website. i think that list is a mess. sort by title doesnt actually put it into alphabetical order. and i have a feeling A LOT of those arent books but just notes.

EDIT seems i got confused. the red link is the actual books title. XD i thought the black lines under some of the red links just meant they didnt have the text for that book yet.

I cleaned up the list so theres only titles left on alphabetcal order.
i tried putting it between spoiler tags here but that didn't work.
idk where to put it so i just put it on my old abandoned guild site its under the welcome text

I'm working on an addon now called Librarian to perform these kinds of functions, although it isn't my intention to track which books are missing, just which ones you have read and allow you to read them later. I was hoping to work on it now but the servers are down...

Seerah 04/03/14 03:46 PM

This is also on my to-do list.

Seerah 04/04/14 08:04 AM

That's a lot of books! Thanks for that post - I had missed it.

Faustus 04/05/14 04:06 AM

That list of 700 is still missing quite a few.

As I was doing things manually, I was finding a lot of books were missing still. Mainly books found in previous elder scroll games.

not all books from previous games will be in ESO tho :P

Rhynchelma 04/05/14 06:43 AM

And not all of the books are identical, sometimes large changes, sometimes subtle.

I meant books I found in ESO were not in that list of 700. Mainly ones that also showed up in previous ES games.

Yep, I've completed version 1.0 of Librarian and hopefully it meets your requirements. Let me know in the comments if you have any suggestions for new features.
