I kind glanced over the SI_ string table and a few things jumped out at me. The strings table suggests they reorder item styles. Which could be the cause of the inventory errors.
These two appear new:

Theft is about to be tracked.

Dyeing items is close? There are a bunch of
SI_DYE* strings.
