Stable Timer Addon

I was wondering if there was a timer addon for the stables to notify you when your stables are ready or if someone could take up the cause and create one.

Also is there an "Idiot's Guide to Modding" anyone can point me to. I have tried to look at how to do it on my own and I just get frustrated because I have no clue how to do it. Help me join you on the Darkside.
