Gtfo

Hi

I'm a Tank and I'm colour-blind. I cannot see Red, not properly anyway.

I've tanked for years in WoW thanks to an add-on called GTFO (Get The Fudge Out), which gives u a beep or a buzz if you are standing in stuff that you shouldn't.

This has allowed me to tank. Period.

Now I'm playing ESO and my problem is this: There is NO Colour-Blind mode in the game.
At least the CB Mode in WoW allowed me to not get a massive headache when I was in Firelands, plus it would tell me if some mob was neutral or hostile (green -vs- red).

I was wondering if a smart, cool, hip Add-On author has considered this idea for an add-on for ESO.
I would be willing to make a donation (not a huge one, sorry) if someone could tackle this.
I'm impossible to heal because I don't know when I'm standing in stuff and it's impacting my game.

Thanking you

Addons can only modify the UI, not the ingame world.
However, there is a postprocessing injector calles SweetFX, which allows you to modify the graphics.

Google suggested me this colorblind correction shader for SweetFX:
alright, I cant link to the youtube page, only include the video >>
the video description has a download link to the shader

Thanks for the link/video/info.

I can live with the color blindness - I was just hoping an add-on could detect something in the environment and then beep if I was taking damage from something (aoe?) on the ground.

I can def tell SOMETHING is going on in the video you linked!

I'll download and check it out - thanks again

The shader mod is probably your best bet - the ESO API doesn't have the ability to tell where damage is coming from, so it can't determine whether something is an aoe effect or just regular targeted damage.
