[Request] Gathering Material texture Mods?

Is it possible to extract and edit in game textures in an effort to make seeing gathering materials more visable? like replacing the grey/brown ore textures with a luminous pink/purple to make them easier to spot.

I only ask because I've tried Umod and Texmod but to no avail. I know it's possible in game through perks. Just wondering if there's anyway to do it outside ESO.

No, we cannot 'mod' the game elements at all. All we can do is 'addon' to the game with visual extras for the most part. To see harvest nodes easier you will need to put points into it to see them from far away and have a shining light on them similar but not as extravagant as the skyshard light.

i was curious about the modding potential too, but mostly - thank you for telling me what those resource skill points actually do!

No probs. I put 1 point in it during the beta test weekends to see the advantage and even that 1 point helped pick up those little hidden amongst the other items like flowers and runestones.

You can also turn off (or turn down the density, I believe, also) of the grass on the ground in video settings.

Resources are very easy to spot once you get used to looking for them.
