Cause pins on your screenshots are white. MapPins draws a gray ones.

Request... is it possible for the addon to tell us whether it was a "promotion" or "demotion"?
So instead of just "changed to", it could say "promoted to" or "demoted to".

That pins on your screenshots are default ones, it is not an addon markers. But this problem can appear when you use too many addons.
How do you know they're the default ones? Do you have a source that says this can happen with too many addons?

I think I've tracked down the problem to be with this addon. I can't seem to reproduce the issue with this addon disabled.
Dolmen markers get stuck on the map in places they don't exist.

Lens flare doesn't stay turned off when relogging or /reloadui.
Also, lens flair doesn't stay off when I do certain things... like press the Enter key to start chatting. In the settings, it'll still say "off", but i can watch lens flares reappear as soon as I hit Enter.
Then I have to go back into the settings and switch it on and...

Thanks for the info, I was focused on the main map, not the minimap, but making it work with minimaps is an interesting goal, i will see what I can do.

Several of my guild members (including myself) are getting:

in our chat when we open treasure chests.
We think we narrowed it down to HarvestMap.
Edit/Update: Guildy confirmed it. They disabled HarvestMap and the chat messages went away.
